It takes way longer to dry everything than the book and/or online recipes state.

This is my first dehydrator purchase, so i don’t have a good basis for comparison.
Everything works well, temp ranges from 125º to 165º, and the included info for fruits/veggies/jerky is useful for this first-timer. I’ve made some tasty snacks so far (mangos, kale chips, vegan jerky, etc).
My only complaint is the stackable trays aren’t really that secure, and the slightest bump from something else in the kitchen can jostle them loose and they’ll need to be reseated. It’s not a huge issue, though, especially if you can place it somewhere out-of-the-way.
It’s a bit loud, but I assume that’s standard for dehydrators. If you work from home, you might want to run this overnight instead.

I got this dehydrator hoping to dry leafy greens and make my own powder. However there is no humidity control in this system(that I know of), and the greens dried out but didn’t get crispy. I’ll keep it because it is a good machine but I’ll just make jerky with it. It should be okay for that.

I seriously have used this nearly everyday for the two months I have had it. I have dried all my chamomile, oregano, basil, sage, as well as garlic, onions, zucchini, corn and bell peppers. It makes about the same amount of noise as a fan on a medium to low setting (like the fan above the stove). It is light weight so I can move it to an unused room when drying the garlic and onions so the entire house doesn’t get overwhelmed by the smell. It comes with one insert for small things (like the chamomile flower heads) and one insert for making fruit leather and jerky, but you can order additional inserts on their website.

I have used dehydrator frequently since receiving. Have used on many different Vega tables from the garden. All sorts of fruits and herbs also. It has been great!

This dehydrator did a great job making jerky! I was pleasantly surprised. I am looking forward to drying some fruits and herbs soon.

So far so good! Needed a basic dehydrator for drying herbs and produce, and this one is meeting my needs thus far. Dried mango, pineapple, apples, nectarines, blueberries, strawberries and kiwis – all turned out great.
The instructions are easy to follow (with prep and time ranges included for common produce and meats), it’s easy to clean, and I’ll definitely be using the flat tray insert for fruit leathers. I like that you can program the timer as well so it will auto-off when time is up. It’s a relatively slim design (for a dehydrator) and I’m able to store on top of my fridge next to the crockpot…
Only downside is it’s a little louder than I would like, but for the cost, it’s manageable, especially if dehydrating overnight. Provides a little extra white noise for the house, but I do keep thinking I’ve left the stove hood vent fan on.
All in all, I’m happy with my purchase.

I am now the proud parent of 3 Mason jars of dehydrated veggies ! Using the advice from a Youtube video
I bought a 2 lb. bag of frozen green beans and a one lb. bag of baby peas for my test run. ( all the prep work is already done ) In all the instructions I’ve read there is a wide range of processing times and my test run proved that. I had to add an additional hour to the dehydrator to achieve doneness … but that’s part of the process. The only suggestion I would give a prospective buyer is to purchase the silicon liners to place your product on … As they dried the baby peas fell through the slots to a lower rack and I had to sort through the beans and peas … My next veggie experiment was zucchini using the silicon pads … It did a great job if I do say so myself … The finished product looked prettier than the photo in a dehydrator book I had just purchased. Tomorrow the mushrooms and celery ! Very happy with my purchase …
