Works great and is so easy

I bought the black version because I’m a cheapskate and it was far cheaper than the red.
You have the options of either cooking your eggs poached, boiling the egg to varying consistencies or making an omelet.
I haven’t tested it to make omelets or poached eggs yet, but boiling works flawlessly, so I imagine that poaching an egg or making an omelet would work about as well.
If you’re looking primarily for a boiler, you can’t go wrong with this. You can boil up to 12 eggs at a time, and all you really have to do is dump water in the heating tray from the measuring cup provided, insert the egg trays and eggs, close it up and let it do its thing.
It will take at least 20 minutes to cook the egg though, so you’re going to be spending a bit of time babysitting it, but it does its job more than adequately.
Everything but the heating tray itself is pretty brainless to clean. The rest of it can be washed in the sink like normal. What I do for the heating tray is take a tiny drop of dish soap and a small cup of hot water and clean the egg residue off the heating tray with the abrasive side of a sponge (or you can do it the way the booklet says if you have vinegar kicking around).
Great product overall. Five stars, would absolutely recommend.

I was surprised by how well it works. Be sure to test a few times because it is hard to know how much water you will need. Don’t go by what the beaker indicates.

Really like this guy. I’ve been using it to steam veggies more than cook eggs.
I use the Hard Boiled egg amount of water for tender steamed broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. It controls time but it’s 8ish minutes for one level and 11ish minutes for double layer.
It’s been top rack dishwasher safe for me too.

The first thought that came to mind when I took it out of the box was ‘Kenner Easy Bake Oven’. It looks like a kids toy, everything is plastic. The omelette tray is the size of a large coaster and the poached egg tray only holds two. I did poach two eggs and not a bad job but I can cook more and quicker in a regular pan poacher. Wasn’t impressed so returned it.

This thing is incredibly easy to use once you get all of the pieces figured out! I boil a lot of eggs and I do a terrible job at it so this thing is a godsend! You put some water in the bottom tray, put the eggs in, put the lid on, push the button and walk away! It’s that easy! My only complaint is that the hard boiled egg yolks are awfully soft, so I solve that problem by just letting them stay in the cooker after the timer goes off for an extra five minutes or so before taking them out and putting them in the cold water. I love this silly thing!

All the reviews I read had great reviewsabout making eggs and they are correct. The one item that caught my attention was steaming vegetables and there were no reviews on that. I live alone and in a hot climate, so hate to heat up the kitchen steaming vegetables on the stove for a single serving. So far I have used it to make corn, broccoli and potatoes.. Everything cooked perfectly. However, the potatoes required going through the cooking process twice and then they were perfect. This egg cooker has made cooking vegetables for one person amazing.
