Excellent product. Very low water consumption to regular cooking methods which means lower energy consumption as well. Consistent results.

I just received this little kitchen egg cooker and have tried every cooking method. This egg cooker comes with a measuring cup with a boiling tray, a poach egg or omelet tray and a whole omelet tray. It’s so small you can leave it on a countertop. The slots on the lid turn into the handle to lock into place. The instructions are very clear for cleaning and make sure you don’t lock it when it is in use. The measuring cup has a pin at the bottom and it brings a cover so you don’t accidentally prick yourself with the pin. The measuring cup has marks to measure for soft, medium and hard boiled eggs and on the other side for omelet and poached eggs. There is a pleasant buzzer sound that is almost musical. I’ve read other reviews which don’t like the sound of the buzzer, so the company must have made some adjustments. It’s loud but I find it pleasant.
I first tried the boiled eggs. I prefer medium boiled; however, I found the eggs were a bit too runny. So I tried again adding a tablespoon more of water and leaving it about a minute longer after the buzzer sounded and it was fine. The hard boiled eggs were perfect. The size of the eggs you use may cause you to adjust the amount of water and time you allow for cooking. I use extra large eggs. After they finished cooking put them in a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking. I found they were very easy to peel.
Next I tried the poached eggs. The instructions say put poaching the tray on the boiling tray. Before adding the eggs I sprayed the tray with PAM spray or you can just wipe some oil or butter on the poaching tray. I filled the measuring cup to the poached egg line and poured it in the base. After the buzzer sounded the eggs were underdone. When I tried to lift the eggs they just had uncooked egg whites on the bottom. Again I added 2 tablespoons of water and set it to cook again. When it was done, one egg was cooked perfectly, while the other one was still just a bit underdone, but edible. Can’t figure out how that happened…
Next I tried an omelet. First I made a two egg omelet. Again I sprayed the omelet tray with Pam. After adding the eggs I put the tray over the boiling tray. I added the water to the omelet line on the measuring cup and poured it into the base. When the omelet was cooked I lifted one side and found raw eggs at the bottom. Again I added 2 tablespoons more of water and let it cook longer. This time it cooked perfectly.
Next I tried an omelet adding come left over cooked potatoes, tomatoes and cheese. I filled the cup to just below the hard boiled egg line, this time it was perfectly cooked.
I also tried a one egg omelet and filled the measuring cup to the omelet line and it cooked fine. It was fluffy good texture.
I think that perhaps based on the type of eggs you use may produce a different cooked egg. So you may have to play a little with how much water and time you allow.
All in all I would recommend this little cooker, it’s great for someone going to college. Eggs are cooked fast and leaves you free to be doing other things not just standing in front of the stove.
It’s easy to clean, there were some dark mineral spots on the base it looks like rust, but its not. The spots came out easily with a little white vinegar and a damp paper towel. Make sure you wait until the unit cools and it does cool down quickly.
I like the fact the handles stay cool to the touch and there is a steam escape hole on the top side of the lid. As with steam just make sure you open the lid away from you to let the steam escape. The trays are dishwasher safe, but they are so small easy just to clean and dry by hand.
I know what I will be buying my family for Christmas this year. This really does make a great gift.

Oh my goodness this little machine is such a time saver,I love it! Its so easy to use and is very efficient. I did have to do a test run with large eggs. The time given in the instructions didnt cook the yolks( for hard boiled eggs) to my desired doness but i added 1 teaspoon of water cut it on again a boom it was the way I like my yolks. This was a good buy dont sleep on this little wonder.

My friend had one when I went to visit her and showed me how it works. I had to get one for my self. I’m the person who ALWAYS forgets I have eggs on the stove, so this was the first reason I got it. The timer is cute and lets me know when they are done. Next, peeling hard boiled eggs has always been a mess. Not with this, the shells came off like butter not just the one time but every time. The measuring device is correct but not if you use jumbo size like I do, easy fix I add about a table spoon more above the fill line. This was so easy and user friendly I sent one to my 82 yr old mom. She loves it! She makes omelets and soft boiled eggs for breakfast. When making an omelet if you use two eggs and add-ins like green onions and or bacon etc. you do need to add more water. This appliance is small and easy to store.

I love the Dash Express Electric Egg Cooker. The eggs whites are not chewy and the hard boil yoke is soft lemon yellow. The hard boiled eggs are the best I have ever had. The eggs peal so nice and easy! I highly recommend this egg cooker. I would definitely buy it again and I’m considering it for a Christmas present.

Not only is this sold with a US plug (anyone can change a plug), but potentially dangerously, this unit is not universal 110-240v, but only 120v. All of Europe runs on 230v. I fitted it with a 3A fuse (not even an option for most countries), tried it, watching for overheating, and it “finished” poached eggs far too quickly, leaving them raw. Presumably the heating element running far too hot, so it cutout far too soon.
I may end up buying a 230 -> 110v transformer for £24 since this was £47, but until then, I wont be using it unattended. This applies to all of Europe, not just UK. The seller should absolutely not be selling this to Europe – it is potentially dangerous.

The cord is too short. It is 12.5” long.
Update:
1) Ive used this twice. Both times using 2 of Egglands Best jumbo eggs (very good eggs!). I pricked them both times. Cooking 2 eggs and both times egg whites partially came out of the shells while cooking and the yoke was still semi hard, but still very soft for hb eggs. Ill add more water the next time. If I still have the problem the next time I shop Ill buy large eggs instead of jumbo.
2) If you are not familiar with Eggland eggs, they have a red stamp on each egg. This red stamp comes off in the steamer so you should clean the steamer with a brush and running water to get the red stuff off of the steamer parts while the eggs are cooling.

Can’t comment on the product itself and might be ok. But ours was sold to us from Amazon Uk.
So you would think ALL the electrical parts woujd be suitable for the Uk.
But as you can see ! The plug is not.
So now we have to return it and pay to do that.
They refund the cost of posted.
But I also found out the return address is also in the USA !! So will have to wait ages to get that refund, from a selfish business. Can’t believe Amazon didn’t make sure this product was suitable for the Uk. Terrible
