Eggpod by Emson Egg Cooker Wireless Microwave Hardboiled Egg Maker, Cooker, Egg Boiler & Steamer, 4 Perfectly-Cooked Hard boiled Eggs in Under 9…
$20
- HOW TO USE: *DO NOT USE WITHOUT ALUMINUM INSERTS* Water has to be added (IMPORTANT) before using the Egg Pod. Never use without water. First, remove the Eggpod Lid. Find the included measuring cup and fill with water to the 50 mL line. It is very important that this measuring is accurate to ensure proper cooking of the egg. Pour the water in the Eggpod. Next, place 4 eggs into the Eggpod and replace the top lid and lock side snaps in place. Cook eggs in the microwave on high for 9 minutes.
- COOKS TO PERFECTION: The mechanism of the Eggpod is so simple because it’s basically using microwave to boil water, which in turn steams the eggs. Simply add water, and set your timer to 9 minutes and cook on HIGH, to yield perfectly-cooked hardboiled eggs. Measuring cup comes included. But If for any reason you lose the water measuring cup, a water line indicator can be found directly inside the Eggpod.
- MULTI-PURPOSE COOKER: One of the special feature of this gadget is it can peel eggs. After cooking, shake it at least 10 times to crack the outer shell and make peeling easier. Aside from cooking eggs, this gadget can steam other things such as small potatoes and sweet corns. The best part of steaming food is it creates a minimum of mess, does the least damage of nutrients to vegetables and preserves the flavor and color of it.
- SAVES SPACE and EASY-TO-STORE: The Eggpod measures about 6 inches (15.24 centimeters) tall and 7.25 inches (18.41 centimeters) wide and is easy to carry around or lift, and can be placed anywhere because it doesn’t occupy much space, whether in the cupboard or just displayed on the kitchen counter.
- EASY TO USE AND CLEAN: Comes with directions that’s easy to follow and will make the preparation hassle-free and quick. It’s also made of dishwasher-safe material that can avoid damage caused by dishwashing liquid and cleaning.

This pod was easy to use .. I don’t know why some reviewers are hung up on the time it takes.. if you hard boil in a pan it takes just as long and requires monitoring. I love that I can set this up .. start microwaving and do something else without having to keep an eye on boiling water… Also I have used it many times… as long as you follow the directions and ALWAYS ADD THE CIRRECT AMOUNT OF WATER AND BE SURE ALUMINUM INSERTS ARE IN PLACE.. the eggs do not explode..
I microwaved my large Egglands Best eggs 9 minutes and they came out perfect.
The reason I didn’t give the pod 5 stars was the bottom insert doesn’t remove easily to wash. I read a review saying it couldn’t be removed for cleaning but it can .. just a little hard to remove probably due to suction from the steam..
Also, just as with the stove boiled eggs… be careful of steam when you open the pod to rinse the eggs with cold water.
The eggs peeled easily .. I store the extra eggs in a Glad container with damp paper towels.. be sure to eat within 1 week!!!

This was a compulsive purchase after seeing a television ad. However, while the ad pushes the ease of pealing the shell, it doesn’t get in to the length of time from start to finish plus the limitations of the number (4) of eggs that could be cooked when comparing each of these to boiling a pot of water, putting in as many eggs as the pot would hold and getting down to business.
Both processes require a cooling down period that includes “resting” the eggs and then a cold water bath following the resting period.
All in all, this is a quick although somewhat limited way of hard boiling eggs and while I use it on occasion, I more often go back to the boiling water routine.

If you like spending about 15 minutes in total in the process of boiling four eggs, this is for you.
Especially considering the reviews made by those who reported exploding microwave ovens, you must fully adhere to the instructions.
Overall, this is nothing but a toy–a potentially dangerous one. It is easy to use, as long as you are good at following instructions. It is easy to clean, unless you are not good at cleaning something that got “dirty” by boiling eggs in it. The eggs tasted good. I had fun using it.
This is today’s answer to the Easy-Bake Oven, which I never had as a kid.

This is a pretty easy doodad to work with. It, probably, doesn’t save time, as opposed to boiling water and making hard-boiled eggs in a pot, but it is fairly efficient. They suggest microwaving eggs for 9 minutes. Since every microwave is different, you may need to cook your eggs more or less time than that. 9 minutes is a good starting point. I find that 10 minutes and 15 seconds works best for me. There’s a warning not to exceed cooking eggs in this thing for more than 11 minutes. I was a little skeptical about how easy the eggs would peel using this thing, but once your eggs are cooked, rested (for two minutes) and cooled (with cold water), this thing, with the eggs in it, can be given ten vigorous shakes, and that breaks the shells on the eggs rather nicely. From there, the shells can be easily peeled from the eggs. This is not a “can’t live without it” kind of thing but it does its job, well, and is a nice thing to have. Its one drawback is that you can only cook four eggs at a time with it. It would be nice if you could cook six. Maybe, in the future, they may come up with an expanded version of this. I understand that it wouldn’t be practical if something like this was too large and cumbersome to lift, but it would be nice if it could handle two more eggs. As it is, it’s a less messy and reliable method for making hard-boiled eggs and for that reason, alone, it’s, probably, worth it, in terms of less muss and fuss.

I was impressed at how easy it is to use. Since my purchase I’ve cooked numerous eggs and they worked just like shown on TV.
I must say though that I recently bought a dozen of Eggland Best eggs and didn’t get a very positive result. One of the eggs cracked inside the pod during the initial 9 minute cooking session. I know because part of the egg and shell was glued to the side of the metal. When I shook them for 10 seconds and went to peel them, the egg shells stuck to the egg. I never had that happen with other eggs before. I enjoyed the Eggland Best eggs fried, scrambled, and poached, but I had to crack the eggs to do that. In any case my EGGPOD experience has been outstanding except for the issue described above.

It is OK for a couple of eggs but there are several steps involved before you shake the eggs. The commercial makes it look easier than it seems to be.

Used once so far, and worked as advertised. Disappointed that the egg pod didn’t arrive in its outside box, hence not giftable. Debated about returning it, but I was eager to try using the egg pod. I do feel ‘cheated/swindled’ and was given not 100% new merchandise.

Good design works OK, but made in China.

I was skeptical about the Egg Pod until I used it. It did work and I didn’t have any problems peeling the egg. I used to dislike boiling eggs because the egg white comes off with the shell and I end up throwing it in the trash. I received the Egg Pod in the mail, followed instructions and it worked. One thing I want to tell you it will do great if you use regular eggs. If you place in Jumbo (which is what I used) you have to leave it in a little longer than 9 minutes. Other than that, you will get a perfect boiled egg every time along with the peeled shell.
