Only used it so far for corn. I did have to cut the husk end of the corn off to make it fit in the container. The lid does seem to be tall enough and have enough dome in it to allow clearance for the ears of corn. May try it with a baked potato’s tonight. Fairly easy to wash by hand so that’s good. No instructions though. I wasn’t sure if I need to add a few drops of water to steam or maybe a half teaspoon. It would be nice if it had some slight instructions with it that told you. I ended up adding a tiny amount of water and it seemed to work fine, but who knows if it would be better to have no water at all. Also the lid seems awkward for lift off and if your dealing with steam you don’t want the lid to come off and burn you from hot food or a slight amount of water you have added. I just think it would be helpful if it had a better way to attach and detach it, but all in all it does work well.

Bought as a gift. A little pricey for what it is, but I was glad to find it available.

Baked a medium potato but it took “6” minutes not “3” as directions indicated. Easy to clean, potato came out perfect…

I had been using a vented carry out container from a restaurant to microwave potatoes and corn in. So when I saw this I felt it would be a good item to have. I liked letting the vegetables sit in the steam to finish cooking. The only con about this item is it could be taller. Some potatoes are too big for the lid to fit on properly. (I imagine some ears of corn might be too long as well.)

What a great invention. I nuked my ears for 4 minutes, slathered on some of that great Irish Kerrygold, sprinkled them with salt and was in Eating An Ear Of Corn rhapsody.
