Better design than BritaWe’ve owned a Brita pitcher for over a year. It gets refilled several times a day (we have gross water). Brita’s pitcher has too many little parts that grow mold within the week. The Amazon pitcher lid is easier to remove and Brita filters work with it. I buy those in bulk from Costco when on sale. However, while I like the design of this pitcher over Brita, I am very disappointed that it developed a crack after barely 6 months of use.I haven’t found anywhere to order a replacement filter holder. Guess it will be replaced with a Brita.

Good value water filterIt filters water a lot slower than my last one, but I have found that it makes the water taste better. I cannot accurately describe how well it cleans your water but for me just having a carbon water filter gives me a sense of comfort.The pitcher hit 0 “battery” after 2 months which is the same length as Brita says to change their cartridges. You can probably get away with using a cartridge longer depending on how often you use this water filter.

The product design is excellentThis is the one to buy.Pros:-clear reservoir so you can see if pitcher has just been refilled-easy ‘handle’ to take off lid for refilling-great size-filter is faster than our last brita (it took forever)-good taste-replacement filters are affordable-it’s pretty light and has a great round easy to grip handleCons:-I don’t think the replacement filter indicator on the top is necessary

Excellent solution for replacing over priced water filters!These water filters prove that you can buy valued priced water filter replacements without sacrificing a delicious & healthy clean taste.I was tired of replacing expensive brand name water filters but these has solved my budget woes thanks to Amazon Basics Replacement Water filters for pitchers.I now can replace them on time instead of waiting an extra month or so while waiting for the other big name brands to come on sale. I was mistaken and these do fitOriginally I submitted a negative review, and then after re-ordering the more expensive Brita filters, I found out I was neglecting to use the side grove on the filter which, if you look inside into the dispenser fitting, is a design where you need to get this lineded up. Neither Brita or this brand explains it is needed to line that up for proper fit.The instructions need to explain this!

Good enoughDoes what it’s supposed to do. The timer deal on the handle is rather useless if you use the pitcher only occasionally. The timer is set to expire at a given time, regardless of how many pitchers you use and then you have to buy another timer. What a waste and should have a way to reset vs buy a new timer. Just go by how fast the water flows and when it starts to slow down, it’s time to replace. Disassemble to keep it dry when not in use.

Lid sticks to the reservoirThe pitcher does what it is supposed to do and produces good tasting filtered water. The only problem I have is that when removing the lid to add water, the lid frequently pulls the filter reservoir out with it, making it more difficult to add water quickly. I have to pry the lid off the reservoir and replace the reservoir in the pitcher before I can add water.
