Hot AND ColdGreat insulated to-go jar/container. I use it to pack my hot oats (bc cold oats are gross, kidding!!) and keep my oats hot while I get to my destination it also does a great job at keeping my yogurt (with toppings) cold and prevents it from spoiling! I usually pack my oats around 6:30 am to consume them around 8 am and still hot. If I pack yogurt with fruit it’s usually packed around 8 or 9 am and consumed at maybe 1 or 2 pm, 5 hours later, and still cold.My favorite part is that I don’t need to pack ice packs to keep my yogurt cold and the container itself isn’t bulky as its counterparts. I have also not had any issues with leaking at all and easy to wash. Can’t beat the price and quality.

Love it!This kept my sons food warm! I tested it out the night before to make sure the food stayed warm. After 3.5hrs the food was hot/warm. I was so happy. The next morning I prepared my sons lunch. I put boiling water in the cup for about 15min at 630am poured out the water, put in hot Mac && Cheese in at 645am. My son has lunch around 1045, he says he was hot/warm at that time which is prefect… he didn’t finished it, I grabbed his lunch box to keep it in my classroom, opened the container to clean it a bit at around 1pm, the left over Mac && Cheese was still warm after about 6.5hrs later. I am so happy that I purchased this.

Food safe if used correctly.First off, I LOVE this brand. I have used other items by Simple Modern and my all time favorite tea mug is a champ which must be enchanted by faerie magic because it keeps my tea hot for a looooong time. When my daughters said they wanted something for their lunches to take hot meals to school, all the alarms in my head went off and flashbacks of past food safety classes flooded my brain BUT again, my tea mug rocks….so I took a chance. I have since done some experimenting and I will say: This will keep things HOT and within the food safe temp zone if used correctly. Pre-heating and food temp going in are definitely the key. Before sending them off to school I experimented with some cheap ramen and here’s how it went. I pre-heated water to boil in my tea kettle and filled both food jars then capped them, allowing them to sit for about 10 minutes. After that, I added the Ramen and topped with more freshly boiled water, then capped them and put them into insulated lunch boxes to see how they would handle our everyday routine. The verdict: These things keep food HOT. I tested one of the food jars after 2 hours and it temped at 173° F. This is when we also learned that if you’re actually going to take Ramen to school in them, you don’t want to let it cook IN these jars, as it turns into a mushy, disgusting mess, so unless that’s what you’re into, you’ll want to actually cook your Ramen and add it after you’ve preheated the jar. The other jar I let sit for another 2 1/2 hours, as my children eat roughly 4 hours after they get to school, thus placing food in the ‘danger zone’ if not kept at that 140° mark. Well, after 4 1/2 hours, it still tempted at 153°F making it above the safe mark for holding temp. I wouldnt feel confortable going any longer than those 4 hours, as I’m sorta paranoid like that, but they are good foe that lunchtime mark so it’s a win. My youngest brought her beloved SpaghettiOs to school for lunch yesterday so I did the same, preheated the jars with boiling water, heated the Os to HOT, as in 212° hot and capped it immediately after. She reported that not only were they warm, but still almost too hot to eat without blowing on them when lunch time rolled around. Not only that but her friends were jealous that she got SpaghettiOs, and that her container was so darn cute. Also, and this is important for parents, she opened it easily by herself (she’s 9) because of the awesome handle on top, even with pressure having built up a bit inside. That was also a huge selling point, as they wont eat it if they cant get it open, right? So, yeah. They’re a win for me and yet another awesome product from this brand. I’m not sure how the other sizes would measure up as more space means more chance to lose heat, but the 12 oz size passed my Mommy tests with flying colors. Also, the rubber ring inside the lid has a nice little tab that you can use to pull it off for easy cleaning. It also goes back on fairly easily, which means no moldy mess growing in there. Yay!UPDATE: The paint started peeling off one of the two I purchased, so I contacted their customer support and they are just as amazing as their products! They sent me a replacement straight away. I highly recommend this company, both for their products and their practices.

Keeps it piping hot!I love these. I bought 3 of them for my family’s lunches for work and school. I always preheat them with boiling water and load them up with hot food around 7 am. We eat lunch around 1130, and it’s HOT. I have had no issues at all with any leaks, and I love the size and the handle on top.

Be careful, You WILL LOVE THIS!My son has to take his lunch to school, because he has so many food allergies, and can not eat anything they provide. We have gone through so many thermoses. This is the best one ever! It does not leak, the lid never sticks, to where you can not open it, and the food stays hot. I make his lunch at 7 am and by 1230 pm, his food stays hot. I do put hot water from the kettle in it and put the lid on, while I warm the food, I dry it and then place the food in. I also do this with my baby’s food too. This thermos keeps their food warm and ready to eat when we are out and about. I’m obsessed with it. It’s super easy to clean too. We’ve had this for four months, I wash it everyday, and the metal inside is perfect not rust or discoloration.

Great for kidsThis has worked out really well for my kiddo for school lunch. No leaks even when I don’t close it as tight as it can go( she has a hard time opening it if it’s too tight!)Easy to clean though it’s hand wash only which wasn’t a deal breaker for usIt’s helped up after several uses would buy again

Excellent productI rarely write reviews but when I buy a product that is so well made and worth it I have to say something positive. Bought these for my kids so they could have hot lunches. They had to blow on their soup to cool it off and one of them has lunch 6 1/2 hours after I put it in the container. So impressed with this product and would recommend to anyone.

Perfect for lunch boxes! These are right up there with Klean Kanteen in terms of durability, seal and insulation quality. The trick to having VERY WARM to HOT food at (school) lunchtime is to make sure the food is piping hot when you pack it. I advise my kids to open the lid first thing while they unpack other food items, allowing the steam to escape a bit. The 16oz size has so far been wonderful for both my elementary aged child and middle schooler. I regularly pack them pasta, bao, chili, and soups. Hand wash to prolong the life of the exterior look, lid is fine for the dishwasher.

It can keep food warm….I had this jar since April (2022) and the only thing I tried with it is to keep something cold..cool it works well with the cold. On Sept. 30th &Oct. 1st (2022) I tried taking some hot soup for work… so after reading reviews and watching a youtube review about how to keep food “hot”, they suggested boiling hot water and pouring it in the jar and wait for about couple of mins for the jar to warm up and poured out water. I did as suggested and then poured the hot soup… Well i am quite amazed.Although food doesnt actually stay hot, the jar manged to keep my soup warm as it cool down some for about 5/6 hours.
