I Love Hue Lightbulbs! I am a huge fan of Philip Hue lightbulbs. I have more than 20 bulbs inside my home and another 20+ of the Hue outdoor bulbs to light up my backyard. What I like about these bulbs is the seemingly endless color combinations and routines that can be created to suit your needs, your moods, your whims … anything you can think of with lighting these bulbs can do.I have attached a video to this review so you can see some of the spectrum of color these bulbs are capable of producing. The Philip Hue app for the iPhone and iPad makes changing colors and brightness as easy as touching a button. I filmed my video with my iPhone in one hand while I used my other hand to change the colors and brightness in the Philips Hue app on my iPad. It is that simple.Let’s begin with connecting these bulbs to your wifi. It is quick and easy. I have connected over 40 Hue bulbs to my hub. I have never had an issue connecting to wifi. Once these bulbs are connected to wifi … they stay connected to wifi. I have had power outages which caused wifi to reboot. No problem. The bulbs reconnect automatically.The app has several color “scenes” to choose from … or simply use the color palette to create your own color combinations. There are routines that can be set for the lights to come on at pre-set times … at random times … to change color … to shut off … to dim or brighten. If you can imagine it … you can use the app to set the routine. These bulbs are also Alexa compatible … which provides even greater functionality. Want to try visual effects like strobing lights … simulated fireworks … a rainstorm … a moon-lit sky … just download one of the many third party apps available and prepare to be amazed at what these lights can do.These lightbulbs work wonders on my mental well-being. I find that the greens and soft blues help me relax in the evenings. The cool white tones energize me during the weekday. The warm yellow tones help me wake to a new day. Having used the bulbs for years now I am a believer that colors can positively impact your mood and your mental well-being.I have tried other LED color-changing bulbs (you can read my review of the Sengled bulbs to learn more). There is simply no equal to the Philips Hue lightbulb. It offers countless possibilities and performs flawlessly. I would not buy any other brand of smart bulb. This is the best color Smart bulb.I have tried so many of these Color and White smart bulbs both requiring a hub and hubless, and Philips Hue is by far the best. I now have 6 of the colored Hue lights and about 12 of the white ones, and they are fantastic. The Hue software is always evolving and getting better, and the lights just look better overall. I can use Alexa, Apple Homekit, or the App to control the lights, but most of the time they are just on timers and go on and off multiple times during the day when needed, and the colored ones change depending on the time of day, with them being a nice bluish light in the morning and a warm orange or yellowish hue in the evenings.I’m not sure what I can say about these that hasn’t already been said but I’ve tried at least 6 different brands of the generic hubless color lights and yes they technically work but they all have their own apps and quirks. Most work with the Echo, but almost none of those work with Homekit, and are a hassle to set up and use. The color quality also isn’t as good. The longest I’ve had one of these color Hue bulbs is about a year and it’s working great, even in an enclosed light fixture. They do get warm when on for a while, but not hot, and I am not seeing any degradation over time. The older bulbs look just like the new ones, and the color is very consistent between bulbs.It’s really amazing to touch a button on an app and change the whole room (or house) to a certain color, and with Hue Labs you can do experimental features like colors blending into one another, although personally I think that should be a feature of the main app.Great product, I won’t hesitate for a second to give this 5 stars, which is something I’ve been a lot more cautious about lately in my reviews. Yes, they are pricey, but they are totally worth it. If you buy one a month, you will slowly be able to transform your house and add as much or as little color as you want. It’s really impressive looking, especially to someone who hasn’t seen this type of lighting before. These lights also work well with motion sensing, and as wake up lights, there is a lot you can do with them. I won’t buy any other brand now. These are the best.

De los mejores focos inteligentes¿Quién no ha querido encender un foco desde su celular? Con estos focos, puedes encenderlos y apagarlos desde tu celular (o comprando algún accesorio que más adelante describo). También puedes cambiar de colores, y estos que vende Amazon ya son la 3ra generación, que hace que los colores sean más precisos, aunque no del todo perfectos. Estos focos me han servido para presumir mi sistema de luces inteligentes, ya que puedes atenuarlos cuanto quieras o encenderlos al 100% de la intensidad; también puedes cambiarlos de color, todo ello, desde tu celular o tablet. Por esta razón los recomiendo ampliamente. Si tienes varios focos en un solo cuarto, puedes ajustar cada foco a un color distinto para hacer mezclas interesantes, o puedes hacer que los focos se agrupen para controlar todos como si fueran uno solo (así obteniendo colores idénticos en cada foco).Para que estos focos funcionen, necesitas de un puente o hub

If you don’t mind the price, This is an awesome Light Bulb with lots of functionalityPurchased this to add to my Philips Hue A19 Starter Kit that I had. Overall, as expected they’re amazing light bulbs with lots of functionality.Firstly, they’re homekit compatible, so once setup, you will be able to control the lights with siri. There’s also a handy feature to turn on or off the lights based on your location, so you can set them to turn on once you come home or set them to turn off as soon as you leave your house. Also, they have an alarm feature that allows you to turn on the lights at a certain time and you can choose if you want the lights to fade into your alarm or just turn on right at your alarm time. I have a pair setup in my office and it great to set the mood for how you feel.My one con for this light bulb would be the price as it is really expensive.Note: If you’ve never owned Philips hue before, you will need a Phillips hue bridge to connect any of their light bulbs.If you found this review helpful, please consider giving it a Like

WARNING: Addictive & Pricey HobbyI originally purchased the recently released Hue light bar to provide some backlight for my computer. Little did I realize this small investment would open a vortex which I can’t seem to escape. It led me to purchase these bulbs to sync with the rest of the room, safe to say now I am addict.As a result I have since purchased a few more lights for the outside of my home. Also the remote light switch solved a conundrum where I had an inconvenient light switch wired behind a door.Philips has really got me sucked into this home automated lighting thing. All I can say is if you can afford such a luxury you won’t be disappointed.DUB TIP: Keep an eye out of for some used bulbs on Amazon. They will save you a few bucks and they are backed by Amazon’s same great guarantee.Pros:☺ All sorts of lighting configurations and automated settings☺ ConvenienceCons:☹ Cost☹ Requires and additional bridge unitOverall: If you can stomach the cost of these bulbs, they will change your lighting life. The future is stupid, but also bright.You know the new joke that goes “My friends asked me to borrow my USB to charge his cigarette but I was charging my book. The future is stupid.” Well, you’re going to find that’s kind of how things are now. “Don’t touch the lightswitches to turn off the lights, I have to use my phone to do that!” Cigarettes and books have batteries, lights and thermostats controlled by phones, a wiretap in my room that I’m sure spies on me all the time but every morning and night I say “Hey Google, how are you?” and “Okay Google, I’m going to bed, have a good night.” because I was taught to be polite. The bulbs work great, the yellow function is a little bit lacklustre on these bulbs but the colour choice you get still is amazing. It’s hooked up to my Google Home so I can control them from phone, turn lights off when I’m at work, set alarms with them, have them wake me up at specific times, and so on. I highly recommend them!

Calidad y excelente luminosidad.Me agradan demasiado estos focos, ya he comprado con anterioridad los multicolores, y los puedo recomendar plenamente, puedes decorar tu espacio según la ocasión, la luminosidad de estos focos es muy buena, ya que son de la tercera generación de Hue. Enlazarlo al Bridge Hue es muy fácil desde la app de tu celular o tableta, sólo es cuestión de ir a los ajustes y buscar el foco. En cuanto al embalaje, fue bueno, se protegió adecuadamente el foco.
