Expand MaterialsThe Filabot EX2 extruder system allows users to expand the materials beyond the common grades of plastics that are normally used in 3D printing. The Filabot EX2 can work with a wide range of plastics and we are constantly testing new grades to make sure they perform well in in our system. This system works with ABS, PLA, HIPS, PS, Ultem, Peek, and many others. This is the ideal system for users who need access to more materials to solve issues that arise from the limiting range currently available. |
RecycleThe Filabot EX2 is a great system for the process of recycling. We designed this version to work well with clean, ground up plastics. We develop all of our hardware based on the goal of recycling, but this unit in particular will make the process much easier. The Filabot EX2 has additional (add-on) melt filters that capture small particles missed in the cleaning process of recycled plastic so that clean, non-clogging filament will be produced. |

EX2 Extrusion Output and PerformanceThe Filabot EX2 drive system, coupled with the extruder screw, creates a high quality filament. Filament with a tolerance of +/-0.05mm can be extruded with ease. Along with tight tolerances that Filabot EX2 extrudes 2lbs of filament per hour. This is a huge step above any other system of this size. |
EX2 Material RangeOur mission is to utilize the widest range of plastic. Our Filabot EX2 can work with polymers with melt flows up to 15MFI. The system can extrude ABS, PLA, HIPS, PS, PC, ULTEM, PEEK, and many more. Check out our website for more polymers. |
