Flat smasher! Exactly as pictured.If some of the OP order the correct one, they’d get what they ordered, I did! Using it for a bacon press in a small fry pan as well as a smasher on the grill. This is 6.5″, not 6″ as advertised fwiw. The other thing I noticed was A BUNCH OF PEOPLE complaining about rust. Seriously folks?!? It’s cast iron for chris-sake!Just like a cast iron pan it needs to be rinsed with “hot” water only, dried off/out, and then seasoned. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look it up and save face from being a moron like the others. If you have too, use mild soap and nothing abrasive like steel wool or scrub pads. HOT water, then dry with a paper towel, warm grill or stove top / oven for 10 minutes to dry it out before seasoning. If you take care of it you can pass it down to grand kids and great grand kids. Enjoy!

Great for baconI bought this to use in conjunction with my large grill when cooking bacon. I usually cook up 2 to 3 lb at a time and put it in the freezer so I can just pull it out real fast you can get on my way this item is just the right size for my grill and it’s big enough that it keeps a full strip of bacon under it. Love it wish I would have bought you probably will eventually

Solid, and sturdy!I am a collector of vintage cast iron that I clean up, and maintain. This NEW burger smasher is simply amazing. The handle is sturdy, and the cast iron is high quality. If you want to get a patty, be it ground beef, sausage for breakfast, or even flatten your bacon, this is the smasher to get.

Good kit except for the cast iron pieceThe cast iron piece doesn’t allow you to smash the burger as flat as it should go. There is a lip on the bottom of it that prevents you from smashing it down flatter. We don’t use that piece anymore. The spatula is great size wise and actually works well for smashing the burger patty into the thickness you want. The seasoning container is easy to clean and fill.

Smashes greatMade some smash burgers on the griddle for tailgating. This works very well. Put a piece of parchment paper on it and pressed down as hard as I could. This is sturdy and the right size. Do yourself a favor and get one.

Good for my purpose.Fit is good for my vintage cast iron pan. Heavy enough to do the job. Handle is wood so I expect it to stay relatively cool when in use. Quality item. Probably won’t season it before use.

Works greatNothing to dislike. I use it to make burgers and cook them. Works great.I will use bulk ground meat and make 1/4 pound meatballs then smash them with the press. Put them on parchment paper or press n’seal between them. Put into a bag and, onto the freezer. Then, take them out as needed.Use the press on them while cooking. Helps them cook quickly and stay moist. Love this press. Cleans easily..
