Does this oven microwave food?
No, the oven does not include a microwave, however you can achieve similar results using the steam function. If you are looking for a combination microwave with air fryer we would recommend the HomeCHEF 4-in-1 multioven (NN-CD87KS).
Can the product make toast?
This product is not designed to be a toaster. Technically you can bake bread to create toast; however this would not be as efficient as using a toaster or toaster oven. For making toast we recommend the FlashXpress Broiler (NB-G110P).
What’s the difference between Air Fry and Convection Bake?
Both functions heat food quickly with hot circulating air. Convection Bake is for when you require precise temperature control, and Air Fry is for quick, easy recipes like French fries and wings. (Air fry is set at 445 degrees F)
How long is the preheat time for Airfry & Convection Bake?
Preheating takes about 7 mins. When preheating is completed, oven will beep three times and display [✓]. Also, once you place the food and close the door after preheating, make sure to set cooking time and hit the START button to start cooking.
Is there no temperature control for Airfry mode?
For Airfry, here is only one temperature setting: 445°F. If you’re looking for precise temperature control for a recipe, choose Convection Bake. For basics like French fries or wings, go ahead and use Airfry.

Glad there is a HomeChef in the house! We had come to the point in our kitchen where there really was not much space left on the counter for more appliances but were interested in trying the 7 in 1 Panasonic HomeChef because it offered so many cooking techniques from one piece of equipment. So far, we have just used three of the techniques Bake, Steam, and Air Fry, and are very happy with our purchase. The control panel is very easy to follow, guiding you through what needs to be entered in for the various cooking methods. I see why they call it the HomeChef because it takes some of the guess work out. Roasted sweet potatoes had become a family favorite but I must admit in the past they have sometimes come out a little burnt. Now with the HomeChef if I want to leave them in for three more minutes, I can dial that in. The timer beeps at the end of the time set. if I become distracted cooking something else or multi-tasking I am alerted and the roasted sweets are coming out a lot better. Loving the steam function. We had been using one of those steam baskets that you set in a saucepan on the stove. With the HomeChef’s steam rack the vegetables are more spread out and they seem to cook more evenly. Well gotta keep it real it has not all been about healthy, the Air Fry did a great job on a guilty pleasure (frozen mini corn dogs) …. but at least we did not heat up the whole kitchen throwing them in the oven. The HomeChef highly is recommended for those who want to do more with less!

Great All-In-One Kitchen Appliance, Use Ferment Setting for Bread Baking! So far I’ve used the convection oven, air fry, and ferment settings. I was extremely surprised at how quickly the oven heats up but how it doesn’t heat up the whole kitchen! Some of the settings you don’t need to use the pre-heat option which I like better since I’m an impatient cook and I just like to throw something in without pre-heating. If you’re a fan of pre-heat, the conv. bake and steam setting has both a pre-heat and cooking without pre-heat option as well. Overall, the oven is extremely versatile and caters to the different needs of who is cooking with it’s varied settings, which is hard to find in an appliance. I used the ferment option for bread baking actually, since the ferment setting is low temperature, I was able to put the metal bowl I was setting my bread in and let it rise for 30 min in the perfect temperature! If you are a bread baker, this is an amazing tool to use! My bread came out perfectly and the ferment option sped up the bread baking process exponentially by letting the dough rise in an ideal temperature. After using ferment, I used conv. bake to finish the bread and they were done in less than 15 minutes. The oven itself is small, but with the two tiered trays, it’s quite easy to make a larger serving of whatever you’re making for the family. This oven will not give you 24 baked cookies in one go like a traditional oven, but it’s great for small batch baking, meats, vegetables, breads, steaming frozen foods (like Chinese bao and dumplings), sanitizing utensils and baby bottles, and it even has it’s own cleaning setting. This oven is a great find and It will be my staple appliance for the kitchen from now on.

I no longer need a kitchenIf there’s one thing I love, it’s one thing that can do multiple things. A 3-in-1 bed that also functions as a sofa and storage space? Count me in. A 5-in-1 water bottle that also serves as a weapon, ruler, fashion statement, and protractor? My money is now yours. But what could ever beat my 6-in-1 frying pan that is also a tennis racquet, meat tenderizer, ice scooper, a lid for other pans, and a drying pan for rainy days?Lo and behold, my search for an air fryer bestowed upon me a miracle… the 7-in-1 oven. Unlike my other number-in-1 possessions, this oven actually has 7 built-in, distinct, and unique functions. I absolutely despise using the big oven because it turns my (small) apartment into a sauna, and takes forever to heat up. This oven made this hassle a breeze, even for someone as inept as me with both cooking and technology. Needless to say, it works pretty brilliantly, and I’m more than pleased with my first, and possibly last, kitchen appliance purchase. Can’t wait to try the fermentation function to make yogurt and natto and to use the airfry setting to make the most important portion of my diet, popcorn chicken. The one struggle I’m having is taking off that sticker on the oven door… but that’s probably more of a me problem and not the oven. I suppose I’ll never lose the QR code with the recipes, at least.Corgi and alpaca approved, 7/7 oven function stars. Good stuff!

Worth every penny!I’m not usually the kind of person who writes reviews, but the usefulness of this product made me very happy with my investment… I have a Philips air-fryer that I initially liked, but soon found that its usefulness, based on the design, was minimal. So I wanted something more, however I frowned at the thought of a counter full of appliances. So when I came across this oven, I was quite surprised and realized that this was exactly what I was looking for. For a few reasons…1) It’s not big at all for a 7-in1 appliance, so it does not take over your counter space. 2) Having a new air fryer is great, but what I really loved, as a healthy eater (most of the time lol is the ability to steam vegetables! 3) the design is simple but a bit elegant, and it’s very easy to clean! I haven’t tried all of the features as of yet, but I’m sure when the fall comes, and I begin to do more daily cooking, that I’ll be even more impressed with this product… This oven is highly recommended… : )

Should have gotten it sooner!I’m a complete novice when it comes to things relating to the kitchen but I love kitchen gadgets. Covid and a baby forced me to change some habits, so I started cooking and I replaced nearly everything in the kitchen except for my oven. So when Panasonic released the steam oven combo I figured I’d give it a try.Absolutely loving it so far. I’ve tested it out with potatoes/ sweet potatoes/ carrots/ broccoli. Took me a bit get the timing right but its much easier and far more predictable. I’ve also used it to steam fish but I’m undecided if I prefer the parchment paper method or exposed. It’ll likely come down to preference and recipe, but if you’re steaming exposed consider finishing with the oven function. I’m also debating of getting rid of my microwave since reheating food in this tastes significantly better. All in all, I have no regrets with this purchase. It will have a permanent spot in my kitchen.Bonus: This has also replaced our massive baby bottle sanitizer. Plenty of space to have the bottle upright along with all the silly mr. brown attachments and pump parts.

Small but mighty – worth the investmentThis has made my favorite recipes easier, healthier, and tastier! I use this more than my oven now. The air fry setting made my falafel balls more crispy than my oven ever could. I love the versatility of the features. The temperature control when baking is easy to use too. It’s pretty easy to set up – I had a little trouble getting the humidity tray in, but it was just stuck with friction on my countertop. A little lifting/wiggling and it popped in.It’s very easy to clean – I havent had crumbs fall on the inside yet, so all I’ve really had to clean are the trays and empty the humidity tray after use. But it’s small and easy to wipe out any spills or crumbs.Large enough to cook a full meal of big items for 1-2 people, or approximately 16 cookies or small appetizers. I made 24 air fried falafel balls.

Life (Space) SaverSEVEN-in-One. You really can’t beat that I feel. I have to admit we haven’t had a chance to try all the features but so far I absolutely love that we’re now able to airfry, steam, and slow cook. It brings me joy that I can get rid of other appliances and make way for just one device instead – and I’m quite happy with all the results at the moment. I’m extremely curious about the fermenting feature, as I’d to be able to cut costs in the long run and make my own kimchi and yogurt (separately of course !). Super easy to clean after using as well. The design looks great and works well, big but with reason since there’s so much functionality behind it. I highly recommend getting this in smaller apartments/studios to really make space of it all and Marie Kondo the other less efficient appliances. It has a nice modern look and feel to it that I do appreciate.

This product replaces all other appliancesI had been searching the market for a multi-use oven — well search no more!! I have found it all in the Panasonic 7-in-1 Oven!! I am now able to get rid of so many other appliances that were just taking up space on my countertop. I love the style and the footprint is the perfect size for my kitchen. The air fry is my personal favorite – plus the slow cooking makes my meal planning so easy! I love the quick and easy use of steaming my vegetables too. It is awesome that there is a convection bake function which is extremely useful. This is better than I thought it would be and definitely worth the purchase.

Finally an appliance that is compact and has all the features necessary to make meals! The Panasonic 7-1 is a life saver in the kitchen. I currently have so many appliances which I have to put away and take out each time I want to use them as I dont enough space on my kitchen counter. This oven is the perfect solution, is compact and stylish and it looks good in the kitchen. I can easily use the air fry option without having to get out my air fryer. Same goes for slow cooking, no need for me to get out the slow cooker. Convention bake is efficient and equally as good as using the regular oven, however, this is way more convenient. Overall, the oven is extremely easy to use and it is the perfect size to make meals for a family of 2 or 4. I am excited to try out the other options available such as steam.

HomeChef 7 in 1This 7 in 1 oven is truly amazing. I air fried plantains, made a meat loaf in the convention bake setting and also baked bread on the rack included at the same time which made it convenient to cook dinner all at one shot; very time efficient. The size is perfect. Small enough to fit in my small kitchen space but large enough to cook a meal for my family of 4. You truly get high quality out of this product. And can’t forget, baby bottle steaming for my 3mth old granddaughter and the self cleaning option, is golden! I truly recommend this product to all!
