They sent me the salt millAs the title said, they sent me the salt mill instead of pepper mill. The difference? Salt mill uses ceramic burrs, while pepper mill uses stainless steel burrs. It should not affect performance. I gave a 3 stars on value for money because I am concerned about the top. My last pepper mill broke (not Zassenhaus) because the top thing that hold the rod was plastic. Plastics will break down in the first place, especially since it is in the kitchen. Adding corrosive property to pepper in the mix means the plastic bits will break down faster. I though Zassenhaus would use stainless steel rather than plastic. Just hope this one will last longer.

Excellent salt millI purchased this mill because other Zassenhaus grinders I own have been of the highest quality, from coffee grinders to pepper mills. Two things stand out performance wise in this mill. First are the ceramic burrs which grind very well and will never corrode, like almost any metal will eventually due to constant exposure to the salt. The second is the 6-position adjustment dial. Unlike the Peugeot mills where the dial adjustment is still affected by the tightness of the top screw, the top screw on the Zassenhaus mills are totally independent of the grinding mechanism which is a huge plus in consistency when refilling as well as everyday use.Overall, I am more than satisfied with these mills.

beautiful, perfect match to our pepper millbeautiful, perfect match to our pepper mill. The only thing I would change…. the metal peg at the top is labeled with an S (the pepper mill labeled with a P). But it’s a little hard to see, especially for the older user. Works very well, would definitely buy again!

Quality Quality QualityAwesome salt mill! I have a Zass coffee mill for many years, so the decision to get a Zass salt mill was easy. Don’t be swayed by the high price…this is a quality mill. I will get a matching pepper mill very soon.

Awesome! The dark wood looks and feels greatAwesome! The dark wood looks and feels great. I use this on the dining room table and in the kitchen when cooking- it has adjustable grind settings. I’ve had for 2+ years and have had no problems! Strongly recommend!

Beautiful mill.Beautiful mill… I have the lighter one for pepper, so got the dark one for salt just to be contrary. I love these things and use them multiple times a day. These will probably outlast me.

Function greater than appearance.I ordered both the salt and pepper grinders, after seeing and reviewing the competition. The stained finish was thin and uneven in color. The grinding mechanism works very well. Overall, I expected a nicer appearance for a more formal setting.
