Time Timer has proven for 25 years to be a globally recognized time management resource. Designed to show the passage of time using the signature red disk. As time elapses, the red disk disappears in a clear, graphic way – making common routines at work, school and home stress-free and enjoyable. The Time Timer Original 12 inch is the ideal 60-minute visual timer for all abilities, including kids and adults with autism or ADHD. This large timer for kids and professionals has easy-to-read, large numbers, a protective lens, and included dry erase activity card. If desired, write or draw the task on the included Dry Erase Activity Card and place card on top slot. Turn the center knob to move the red disk counter-clockwise to the duration of your choice (up to 60 minutes). The timer is now set, and the quiet countdown has begun. No ticking means no distractions! As time expires, the red disk disappears moving in a clockwise direction – providing an understanding of time left with just a quick glance. For the ultimate in flexibility, the Time Timer Original 12 inch can be used on magnetic whiteboards and numerous other metallic surfaces. It can also stand on a flat surface with its two foldable feet or be hung on the wall. An optional alert (on/off) on the back of the timer controls the sound at the end of the timing cycle.

If you have kids or teach them then BUY THIS!As a teacher I cannot recommend enough. Having this visual empowers children to learn time management without having to ask, “How much more time are we doing this?” And it helps with transitions because the child can be told in advance how long they have to work on a task. I have taken this timer with us when we are in outdoor time so the class is aware of how much time they have to play.

More useful than expected!I bought this with a couple students (preschool) in mind—to give a visual aide to help with smoother transitions and early time-management skills. However, after having it for only a couple weeks—the entire class has benefited from it. If we forget to set it, students ask. They are all growing in their understanding of time and beginning to develop time management skills!

Worth the $$$Love this timer!I have one for both my Pre-K, and Special Needs Grands. It has greatly helped them regulate their time, and has reduced stress level for both them and me.we use for everything from time until turn off TV/finish eating and do chores, to time in shower/until bed.

large and silent good magnetsSimple – bell can be turned off, large enough to be seen across the classroom, and does not tick while it is winding down. Works great and the magnets on the back are super strong – it’s actually kind of hard to pull of the whiteboard.

I know its kinda pricey but it’s DANG worth it!I love this timer so much! It’s really helpful for kid brains that cannot fathom time and how long things take. Use one at home for my son to gague how long it takes him to get ready in the morning, and I use one in my First Grade classroom so they can SEE the time go by.

Classroom managementI have a lot of wiggle worms in my class and I use this as a timer to take breaks in my class. However I did drop it once and the sound broke on the timer. Other than that it is great! The kids like seeing the red go down. It is a great visual for them.

Works for my family, easier concept of time, design development needed to increase longevity product and appeal to wider market.-We’ve had this for 1 month.-IT WORKS VERY WELL FOR OUR FAMILY.-EASIER CONCEPT OF TIME :Some children are more easily motivated to mind about the time with gadgets like this. It works for mine. They enjoy setting it up and seeing the time/ red part get smaller until it’s completely gone. Some children for various reasons may struggle with the concept of time / with reading analogue clocks and this type of timing device can help them tremendously.-DESIGN DEVELOPMENT NEEDED :Despite this brilliant and unique idea of visually demonstrating the concept of time , this product would do better with some further design development. It needs to be made sturdier which would extend it’s life and make it suitable to a wider group. At the moment , it’s suitable for those who need/ or may benefit from the motivational or visual aspect of this tool BUT THEY MUST ALSO BE gentle, cautious and non “clumsy” (and understand the concept of how things can break/ gravity etc…).But the reality is , this product is very much needed by all sorts of people who may either not understand how things break (for ex young children) or may do but may have difficulties coordinating or controlling their movements. There is a very wide variety of neurological problems that affect the control of movement and that a person may have ( including many adults) which means this product needs to be made stronger . It’s a shame because it’s otherwise such a good product. If this product only lasts with very heavy supervision so the person in need of it can not possibly break it , when in fact the whole purpose of the product is, on the contrary , to increase the independence and sense of achievement / self confidence of the receiver , then this product is not yet where it needs to be.The idea is excellent but it needs further development. I suggest :- 1 ) a rubbery type of material all the way round the frame of the timer to help hands grab it without it slipping too easily (although I have to say the plastic is not particularly slippery in itself but just not non-slippery enough for its targeted market) . This will also help absorb the chock when it falls .- 2) something that removes the need for those little feet at the back to make it stand on the table without falling backwards. Those fold-able little feet can’t last long in my opinion. So , for example , they could make the frame much wider , and when it’s wider it’s then wide enough not to fall backwards.- 3 ) there should be an additional transparent hard plastic screen in front of the timer to protect it . As it is , if someone sat on it by accident , it will break the main mechanism that makes it work .IN SUMMARY : VERY GOOD IF YOU ARE ABLE TO MAKE SURE IT’S NOT GOING TO BREAK EASILY.

Handle With Carethis is a great item foe people (like me) who need help organising their lives, or to use as a visible timer for helping kids learn to wait for a certain amount of time because the “words wait 10 minutes” to an adult is okay, but to a child it means “wait forever”The only tiny fault is that it is a very delicate object and I wouldn’t let kids try to set it themselves.Hope this helpsMonica
