Zojirushi Micom water boiler and warmer has a micro computerized temperature control and a one-touch electric dispensing system. It has four keep warm temperature settings: 160, 175, 195, 208 degrees F. This unit displays actual water temperature at all times. It is also has an energy saving timer function (6 – 10 hours) and easy-to-hear sound indicator to alert completion of boiling process or low water level. Quick temp mode heats the water directly to the selected keep warm temperature without reaching a boil. The water will reach the selected keep warm temperature quicker than regular mode. Other benefits include reduced steam and reduced energy use. This mode should be used when DE chlorination is not necessary, such as when using bottled or purified water. To activate, press the reboil/quick temp button; the boil light blinks. The dechlorinate mode reduces chlorine and musty odors from tap water by extending the boiling time.

MIKE M. –
Best water boiler / dispenserOwned one before, it lasted for years and years. So convenient to have boiling hot water at your finger tips. For coffee, tea, cereals, soups, instant foods, etc… I use it daily. Once you have one, you think, how did I go so long without one !! This brand is very good, I have other products from this manufacturer.

Still so convenient…but they changed the designWe use this daily and rely on the convenience for instant hot water. This is our 3rd one – the first one eventually showed signs of “pitting” in the interior walls and the gasket under the lid started to crumble, so we replaced it after a few years of use. The 2nd lasted a long time (longer than the 1st) and was still in decent shape (slight signs of the gasket starting to wear down), but we gave it to a family member. So we bought this one. I believe that they improved the gasket (seems to be more of a silicone material rather than rubber). However, I’m concerned that they reduced the quality or at least the thickness of the materials. The entire unit seems much lighter, and the walls must be thinner because the heat transfers to the exterior casing. It won’t burn your hands but it is definitely hot to the touch. The previous model casing stayed at room temperature. So this also means it’s less efficient at insulating the heat from escaping. The color is darker than before, but that’s just cosmetic and looks fine but others may prefer the previous lighter version. I concluded that they may have made some design improvements but went too far in cost cutting. Nonetheless, the convenience and overall reliability wins out.

Zojirush still makes the best air potsHaving tried a couple of different off-brand air pots, Zojirushi still makes the best ones. They are worth the extra cost. This unit is much better insulated than other ones we have tried and doesn’t reboil unnecessarily. It keeps the temperature well.

Easy to useEasy to use but the insulation seems insufficient.

Amazing!! Its nynsecond one.I had one for approximately five years and it got too calcified. I just purchased another one. It’s an amazing product! I do use filtered water but calcium does starts to build up so rent said every week and use a soft brush to remove the thin layer of calcium that starts to build. Amazing size! I leave it on 24 seven.

Good home investmentI love the water boilers because they are so convenient. Rather than microwaving or boiling water when needed. This product keeps the water hot for days. Recommend this product.

A beloved luxury in our kitchenWe use this every day and will never go back to boiling water for individual uses. My brother came to visit and liked it so much, we got him one too

I had no idea how useful this would be until I bought it!I’ll admit it, I’m more than a bit obsessed with Japanese culture and the way the Japanese do things, so when I saw that a large number of Japanese homes have a hot water dispenser, I was intrigued. After having this machine for a couple months, I have no idea how I went this long without having one. The ability to have instantly hot water for tea, coffee, ramen, or to even give a little boost to water I’m boiling on the stove or using to make rice, has made this device an invaluable tool in my kitchen, and even though it is large and I have limited counter space, this heater has earned a permanent space on my countertop. The heater itself couldn’t be easier to use. Just fill it up, and it will automatically begin heating the water to the desired temperature. This initial heating, I will note, is the only time the heater really produces any sound or steam. While it’s getting cold water up to temperature, it does make some strange whining and popping sounds, and it can emit a good deal of steam from the top, but once it has reached the temperature, it sits silently, ready to dispense at a moment’s notice. The heater does a great job at heat retention, but the outside of the heater, despite being metal, only gets mildly warm even when the water inside is boiling hot. You don’t have to worry about accidentally scalding your hand by brushing up against the heater on accident. The heater will build up some sediment on the inside, and my tap water especially is particularly hard, but it seems like after it builds up an initial patina around the heating element, the sediment doesn’t get too bad. Zojirushi also makes citric acid cleaner to break up the sediment once it gets too bad, so I’m not that worried.I would hugely recommend this to anybody who needs hot water on a regular basis, even if you’re not doing a lot of Japanese or Asian cooking. It has sped up so many aspects of cooking for me.

High quality, quiet, perfect!Product is high quality, large capacity makes it last a long time on one fill up.The heatup time to boil is good and the water quality is maintained with no residual odor from the unit itself.
