I liked the small size, it did smell when I first plugged it up. I do wish you could place it in water to clean it.

I was really looking forward to trying this skillet because of all the positive reviews. But I couldn’t because it was packaged with a power cord/temperature control that is either defective or meant for a different device. The holes in it are far too small for the electrical probes and the plug itself is not wide enough.
I am extremely disappointed.
Hopefully this can be rectified.

I cooked some ham as my first test. It did the work and was very easy to clean.
Here are the three flaws I identified so far:
1) Not Dishwasher Safe: On the package, it says that it can go to dishwasher after you disconnect the temperature control cable. In the user manual, it clearly states on “Care and Cleaning Instructions”: Do not immerse the skilled in water or any other liquid or place in dishwasher. The skilled should be wiped with soapy water and dried with a soft cloth. To me, this is not an issue since there is no dishwasher at the office and it literally takes only seconds to wash after it cooled down.
2) Temperature Control: The temperature control does not match the actual heat. Using laser temperature gun on the skillet and setting at 325F on the controller got the skillet at 390F. This is not an issue since as soon as you add your food to the skillet, the temperature drops substantially to hover around 300F-325F. Over few uses, you will quickly get to know your temperature controller and be comfortable with your preferred heat settings.
3) The unit I received wobbles. It has a 2mm difference on one side. Once again, this is not noticeable unless I make it wobble on purpose.
This unit is a perfect size for me at 8 inches for cooking some items at the office instead of the microwave and toaster oven. It is easy to put away in any cabinet and it heats up quite fast overall. I like it and I am keeping it for myself. As a final note, I would suggest to consider using it at medium heat in general. This is high enough to cook a steak and higher temperatures might have a negative impact on the non-stick surface.

It helps to read the reviews as they give you tips and ideas of what to look for and be aware of. I love this pan and use it at least once a day. I’ve had it for about 2 months. You have to know your way around a kitchen a little to understand how to get the best out of this skillet. You can’t just put food in there, turn it on and walk away. However, since it cooks fast you don’t have to hover over it for too long before your food’s ready. I will buy another one whenever this one goes out (assuming this one last me at least a year). Bought in Sept of 2022

The hot plate is very easy to use and easy to clean. It’s a really versatile thing to use

Very happy and impressed with quality! Solid; temperature control (w/degrees instead of Low, Medium and High) is good; easy to clean. Highly recommend.

Works exactly what it’s supposed to. Great addition to my camper.

I love this little pan, it’s perfect for 1 or 2 people and it’s so easy to clean. But be aware, it cooks hot and fast. I keep it at 275-300 for everything I’ve done.

I use this in my rig so I can have breakfast and a hot steak . Cook on low and it doesn’t make a mess.

I usually wait about 45 sec fr warmup. I bought this to cook ground meat and also veggie burgers. Takes less than 6 min form start to finsh for one quartwr pound burger. I do have to be careful of moisture accumulating in the lid, which will drip on nearby surfaces if I am not very careful. It is the perfect size for my needs. I have done all my cooking at 275 F. I find it easy to clean. I borrowed an infraded camera and it appears the surface temperature is quite even. I think the venting could be improved, but that could also be my inexperience with this product. It was worth the price I paid.
