I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend’s father who is a great home cook! He recently got the Ooni oven and said this pairs perfectly and makes it much easier to get his pizza crust the way he likes it! Recommend if you also have the pizza oven or are gifting it to someone who does.

I didn’t want to buy this peel. I figured there was no way it was 3x as good as the $20 one I bought elsewhere. Well, it is.
Obviously you still need to flour the bottom of the pizza dough and the front edge of the peel, but the ridges and holes make it a LOT less likely to stick. I use this peel heavily with my OONI pizza oven and it’s been an absolute champ. I’ve tried wooden and wood+stainless peels of all sizes and the OONI is the best peel I’ve ever used.

I bought this after using a Gozney peel that was excellent. I wanted the larger size vs the Gozney. I thought the Ooni would perform the same. Not so. Went back to my trusty metalcraft peel. I cleaned the Ooni and put it back in it’s sleeve… anyone want to buy a like-new peel?

Great peel for my Ooni, I launch with the wooden peel and cook with this one as it is easier to retrieve and turn! I am by no way an expert and am getting better everytime but this peel retrieves well and it’s easy to turn to get the cook even. Easy to clean and tbh wouldn’t be without it now! I know there are cheaper ones out there and I have probably paid for the ‘Ooni’ brand but I am super happy with the product and the quality!

It’s the right size, but!
It’s so blunt, I mean the edge is so thick, that putting a pizza on it is a nightmare until you actually take it to a grinder and sharpen it like GI Metal peels. Now, after grinding it’s OK, but how can they sell such thick peels? I mean come on, most of the users will be amateurs! And if I, a pizzaiolo had problems with it, just think how hard it will be for average Joe.
