Why does “TRIP” display E01, E02, E03?
– Turn on supply power after installation.
– Then the meter starts to search for signal and “TRIP” will count automatically.
– If there is still no signal, “COG” “TRIP” will be flickering.
– If “TRIP” displays E01. It means that there is not any GPS signal.
– If “TRIP” displays E02. It means that this speedometer started working well but suddenly lost signal in the middle. (If the signal is lost in the middle of 30 seconds, keep the speed before the signal is lost; if there is no signal after 30 seconds, the speed will be reset to zero)
– If “TRIP” displays E03. It means that this speedometer cannot receive any data from GPS antenna within 10 seconds. (If the signal is lost in the middle of 10 seconds, keep the speed before the signal is lost; if there is no signal after 10 seconds, the speed will be reset to zero)

The button to set the trip odometer is on the back of the unit so be aware to reset it you have to be able to access the back of the unit.

In Miles Per Hour the speedometer reads correctly. The only reason I took off stars was for two reasons. At high acceleration, 60 mph up to 130 mph, the GPS of the unit wouldn’t keep up and sometimes would drop back to a lower speed before finally recovering. So I think this does well under normal acceleration or steady driving but not under more agressive driving. The reason I know is because I actually tracked my car last week which is when I noticed this problem. On the back straights I’d come out of the last turn about 50 mph and accelerate to about 130 mph before slowing down and I’d watch the needle drop during that time. But under normal driving I hadn’t seen that happen. The other reason was that the scale for the kilometer scale is INCORRECT. At 100 mph it should be reading 161 km/h.You can see the yellow line on the image I uploaded that 100 mph shows just over 140 km/h.The green line shows where it should be at 160 km/h.Other than those two issues, the speedometer works fine.Since the needle is reading correct for mph and that’s what I use it’s not a huge problem but if you plan to use this for metric areas then I wouldn’t recommend it.

I may have gotten a bad unit, but I’m not happy with it failing so quickly.

Installed on a nice clear day, did everything as directed. Unit powered up and cycled through and continued to keep power cycling over and over. Disconnected and tried to re install again and came up with the same results. Unit ended up in the trash can, not playing with cheap crap anymore !!!

The display does not function, occasionally it will show miles but typically it is either blank or showing jibberish. Speedometer needle continues to show speed
