- HDMI to Coaxial Cable Adapter for TV – Convert HDMI digital signals into VHF analog TV ( RF ) signals which are great HDMI extenders that will carry out ultra long distance transmission of HDMI signals , then you can achieve sharing program videos / pictures on other tvs in diffrent rooms or farther away from the hdmi video source.

Don’t use the remote unless you have to. I accidentally pushed a button and spent an hour trying to get it back..once you get this device into a certain mode, you can’t see the picture or menu on the TV. However, it does do what it’s supposed to. It converts the signal to coax and I’m now watching satellite programming on a 1980’s TV.

The unit works fine for what I needed. Converting a digital signal to an old a anaog TV. The cords you get are very short and needed extenions.

This worked fine. Except, I was looking for a switch that had an HDMI in and out. This had the HCMI in and converted to Coax but did not have another plug in to continue the HDMI. But if you want an inexpensive switch of HCMI to Coax this works fine.

Unfortunately, people who have given this product low ratings have no idea how to set it up for maximum performance! “Older TV’s” were specifically mentioned as the marketing target. But apparently what very few people realize, is that HDMI cables have a very big problem in general … and that is, they are usually very short! So, you can forget about connecting HDMI cables to TV’s that are 25 feet or more away from the HDMI signal source, whether that signal source is a DVR, or a DVD player, Blue Ray player, or a cable box. But this product takes HDMI signals and outputs them on analog TV channel 3. What almost nobody knows, is that all TV’s in the united states use the NTSC-M method of signal transfer. NTSC-M must be selected in the pop-up menu, or your picture will be terrible, flickering, and mostly without color! But what really makes this product outstanding, is that it will allow you to ideally adjust your picture for whatever TV you are trying to display it on, regardless whether that TV is brand new, or an antique from the 1960’s! The picture can be adjusted (independently), in Hsize (horizontal size), Vsize (vertical size), brightness, contrast, saturation (color level), hue (tint), and sharpness! Furthermore, since the output is RF (only analog TV channel 3), if you use a cable splitter (or even better, an amplified splitter), you could connect multiple TV’s to the output signal, and have virtually perfect pictures on numerous TV’s throughout your house or building! Is it 1080P on every TV? No, it’s not, but the picture certainly is pleasing and the color is very good too, especially considering all the adjustment possibilities the remote control offers! I personally use a remote control extender, so I can control all the adjustable options from a distance, and even from a different floor! One way to cause problems with this device, is to plug in an HDMI source BEFORE connecting the power supply. That would be asking for trouble! The bottom line (for me), is this device deserves five stars for overall results, for HDMI quality via TV channel 3!

I was really skeptical about this product to begin with, thanks to the small number of reviews/poor reviews. However, I decided to give it a shot anyway, and I’m glad I did! My goal was to turn an old 13″ Newtech CRT with no AV ports into an extra monitor for my PC. So I hooked up the converter, powered it on (before powering on my PC, an important piece of advice given in the manual), attached the HDMI cable from my PC to the converter, turned on the old TV, changed it to channel 3 (the channel for all external audio/visual devices) and…the screen started to scan at a high rate, making it unusuable. So then I simply used the “SYS” button the converter’s included remote control to change the output from “PAL-DK” to “NTSC-M” (for North American TVs), and my desktop came beautifully and crisply into view. I then used the “MODE” button to turn the display to “BRIGHT”, so that the dimming effect exhibited by a lot of old CRTs was mitigated. Then, I dragged VLC player from one of my other monitors over to the CRT, set its aspect ratio to 4:3, and now I can play videos on the CRT in beautifully retrograde fashion.I’m very happy with this product, and it saved me from having to settle for a less appealing CRT with AV ports. My only complaint is that the power cord for the converter is too short, which means I’m going to have to do some extension cord rigging to get it to work with my setup. But oh well, that’s a small price to pay for turning a cool old TV into a PC monitor.

I just purchased this product and it works better than I expectedit is easy to set up if you use the instructionsset the channel to cable tv 3 even if you do not have cable tv it broadcasts only on one channel once you receive a signal. (I have only an antenna that was connected to the cable tv threaded portion of the TV) The mode button will size your picture Vertical and horizontal, press SYS to choose PAL if you are overseas NTSC-M if you are in the United States you will also see it is on NTSC-M in the mode and you can change it from there also by pressing the arrow keys you can use mode to chose sharpness brightness etc also you tv settings will give you a better picture the device is set to PAL as a default so make sure you are in NTSC-MI currently use this device on a wide screen small and display my Roku device through the cable tv threaded post and see it in picture in picture mode on the TV I also have in the background my computer screenThis device works excellentlly the bad reviews are unwarrented you need to finish setting it up properly I have had no problems what so ever I recomend this product it is a substantial savings over buying an expensive RF Modulator if you are not broadcasting to a companies network and to multiple sources or networks there is nothing wrong with this device it just needs to be set up properly and you are good to go

It somewhat converts HDMI to coaxial but picture quality is grainy with lines and snowy picture. Today everything uses HDMI cables, but I have DVD recorder that need a coaxial connection
