I’m in love. It’s stunning. So, let me explain: I love ginger hair – I’ve been dying my hair ginger since approx. Nov/Dec 2020. Long story short, I went to a salon, the hairstylist did a terrible job, I went to a different one, same story… I hate salons, they don’t know how to give me what I want. When I say ginger I mean orange, not strawberry blonde, not reddish brown – orange. Anyway, since those two failed attempts, I’ve been trying different at home custom hair dye companies and having my fiancé dye my hair because he listens and is willing do to it for me. I loved Color&Co, but they went out of business, so I tried Madison Reed, but their ginger was more red, so I hated it. I finally stumbled on Igora Royal and it’s amazing, however, I dye my hair about every 8-10 weeks instead of 4-6 because we’re lazy and what happened was last time two 60ml tubes were enough, but I started to grow out my hair since the last time I dyed it and basically two tubes was def not enough and I chose the lighter ginger color whereas I used one light copper one darker copper the first time and I loved it. So we didn’t have enough dye and on my first ever salon visit, the stylist gave me highlights, which now are impossible to cover with color the right way. So basically, I had light orange roots, with almost blonde mid to ends. Not great right before a party on the weekend. So I quickly ordered these Adore Semi-Permanent hair dyes and I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I wanted the ginger color – I bought two bottles. Except it looked kinda light so I also got one bottle of Orange Sunrise to deepen it a bit. Two days after the permanent dye, when I dyed my hair, I used one bottle of ginger and probably maybe 1-2 tablespoons of Orange Sunrise, so it wouldn’t get too dark. The photo you see is the result. It’s so intense, it’s amazing. I can’t even get that with the permanent dye sometimes. This one was also easier to apply by myself. I’m even thinking of doing it every month with this dye instead of buying permanent, but I can’t comment on how long it’ll last since I haven’t washed it yet since dying it. Also, I don’t know what it’ll look like on my natural (medium) brown roots when they grow out again. It might not end up dying it the same color and not work. It worked this time cause my roots were already ginger from the permanent dye. I didn’t feel/see any damage after using it right after permanent dye. Finally, I did use it on wet hair (towel dried) and the color result is amazing. I saw some people say it didn’t work for them unless they did it on dry hair. And I want to mention, whenever I dye my hair, I wrap it in aluminum foil and then a plastic grocery bag on top to add heat, hence why it might have gotten so intense (waited 30 mins before washing). Anyway, thanks for coming to my Ted talk! My new fav semi permanent dye and I’ve never used one before!

Okay, okay, okay… I have pretty lightish brown hair that’s kinda blonde. I’ve always wanted a natural ginger hair color, so I originally tried Cajun Spice. IT WAS ARIEL RED. I WAS THE LITTLE MERMAID FOR 6 DAYS. It mellowed out nicely after washing it, but it still wasn’t my favorite shade. It didn’t look as natural as I wanted it to look.I bought this ginger color hoping it would look better… and it does!!! It gives my hair a nice ginger,-like color. It almost looks natural! I have highlighted strips, so it came out more vibrant on those spots than on my roots, but I love it so much. I’m definitely going to buy this again.

TL,DR: this stuff is legit, works on unbleached (but lightened) hair, it’s an alcohol-free aloe vera based formula, AND you get two bottles for the price of one!! That’s right — 2 for 1!My light brown hair asked for a colorful makeover. The last time I had dyed it was half a decade ago, and before then I kept going back and forth between carrot-top and tomatohead. I figured this time, should I embody a beetroot? Challenged accepted! And thus began this mission.Because my hair cannot handle bleach, I researched what is the best way to transform unbleached hair to purple. The first step was to lighten the hair a shade or two. I stumbled upon a variety of natural methods, and ended up doing a homemade paste of sorts using 3% hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and honey, leaving it on for 30 minutes before washing. I applied it twice — waited about two weeks between application. It made my hair a dark orangey copper the first time, then slightly more golden the second time. Nostalgia almost convinced me to stay with that color, but no… The mission was to get that bloody beetroot! The next step was finding a dye that works on unbleached hair. I had used “Wildfire” flavored Manic Panic the last time I dyed my hair, to obtain that spicy candy red. It didn’t let me down before, so why not go with that brand again, right? Ha! Right. It was quite the letdown. The concoction was more like a color depositing conditioner that didn’t deposit any color.Such deception… but! My determination superseded that feeling, so back to the drawing board I went. After researching legit semi-permanent dyes, I stumbled upon a few, one of them being Adore. I was leaning towards Arctic Fox at first, but after reading almost all the Amazon reviews on this product, I opted for their Purple Rage and Truly Red.I first applied the purple to most of my hair, then applied red to the bottom portion, the bangs, and some of the front strands of hair. I twisted each portion of hair like a cinnamon bun, covered them with a plastic cap, and “put them in the oven” by wrapping a heating pad around the cap (one review suggested to apply heat and mentioned using the heating pad instead of a hairdryer). Because I didn’t want to relive the panic Manic Panic gave me, I left the dyes on for about four hours to ensure proper color absorption. I then unwrapped and uncoiled the hair and washed the dyes out with only conditioner and not so warm but not cold water. And…As you can see from the photos, this stuff really works! To my surprise, the dyes actually didn’t leave my bathtub looking like the aftermath of La Batalla del Vino. The purple dye did leave a few small streaks, but they came off completely right after I cleaned the tub. Also, I didn’t realize at first, but this dye has no alcohol! I avoid any and every hair product with any variation of alcohol in it. My hair appreciates sobriety and hydration. The aloe vera in this formula provides the kind of hydration my hair unexpectically needed from a hair dye. It’s also worth mentioning the package comes with two bottles of dye for the price of one — same size bottle as Arctic Fox, but at half the cost! In this economy, that is most definitely a win. I ended up with four bottles altogether. Just one bottle of each color sufficed. Even after using so much of the one bottle of purple dye, I still had plenty left over. I put some in a separate bottle, added conditioner, mixed them up, and did the same in another bottle with the red.Although it ended up looking like a female Magneto and not so much a beetroot, I’d still consider this mission accomplished!I’m dyeing to try out other colors when I bluelieve I’m redy — maybe in another five years, maybe sooner! So, yeah… 10/10 would recommend!

Terrible
It didn’t cover or make any sort of difference in my hair colour. Almost has a tinge of green. Would never buy again. Save your money

Vivid colours
I use this colour to brighten my hair! Love the reddish orange it gives! Definitely brings life to my hair. Highly recommend, I use it once a month for a refresh depending how often I wash my hair. As it starts to fade after the second wash for me. Please note I normally wash my hair after 5-6 days.
