Drip drip. These are great coffee filters and can’t beat the price. Fit perfectly and are very sturdy.

Works as well as original filters.Readily available at a better per unit cost. Can not tell the difference in taste or how well they work. In our area #6 are not easy to find.

Best #6 filter in my opinionI prefer If You Care over Melita because this brand usually ends up being cheaper, the box is bigger so I’m not storing a bunch of little boxes, and If You Care seems to be more serious about addressing environmental degradation that originates in the paper industry. As for unbleached vs. bleached, I defy any coffee drinker to tell me in a blind taste test that they can tell, assuming the test is fair and you actually know any arithmetic (only one trial is a 50-50 chance you guess right). The bleach is pointless IMO. Maybe you can do it if you have the most sensitive taste buds in the world and you do the test with the weakest coffee in the world. Or so it seems to me.

I wanted to like them…If your brewer will completely support the filter, then this may work okay for you. But if you expect your filter to hold together with bottom support (ala Chemex or similar), then these may leave you frustrated. (Even with the edges folded which I always do.) These have a single seam on them compared with Melitta, which has double rows of seams. The single pressed seam actually can create flow through channels and fines may get through. Or worse it may separate completely and you’ll watch your water and grounds sink into your pot. I’ve never had a Melitta fail in this way.I’ve tried these 3 times so far: 1st had fines (not the end of the world), 2nd went better and seems okay, and the 3rd time it split completely. YMMV.UPDATE: The key to keeping the filter from splitting may be in your folding technique. When you fold – fold the bottom first slightly above the seam. Just use a finger to make a light crease. Don’t use your fingernail to make a sharp crease. Doing so may cause the seam to split without you knowing it. (This may be what happened in my third try above.) Then fold the edge on the side of the cone in a like manner. Doing this should improve success.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!I’ve been using these filters for the past couple of years with my pour over coffee set up with no problem. The current box I received has had 50% of the filters fail with breakthrough on the bottom of the filter resulting in not only loss of the filter, but the coffee grinds as well into the bottom of the coffee post. Clearly this has turned into somewhat of an expensive and frustrating problem. I contacted the company regarding the issue and right off the bat they said these filters are not to be used with pour over coffee systems. I informed them that not only have I been using the filters for several years with the same pour over system with no problem, but that the box also states the filters may not be suitable for use with SOME pour over systems. No where in the description does it say they’re not to be used at all with any pour over system. The company asked me to send them my receipt, pics of the box, etc., which I did, and informed me that they’d send me a coupon to order another box of filters. I asked how the coupon would work with ordering them online through Amazon, etc., and they told me I could order them directly through their website. I figured I’d wait until the coupon arrived to see how much it was for before I discussed shipping costs with them since their product is now clearly flimsy and defective. Lo and behold, I got the coupon. The way this company thinks proper customer service works to stand by their product for a customer who has lost 50% of their filters so far due to defect as well as the expensive fresh ground coffee in their defective filters that winds up at the bottom of the coffee pot, is to send a coupon for 75 cents. Read the other reviews. There are enough other people who have had this same issue with these filters. There are other brands out there to chose from that do not have this issue and will not waste your money and coffee.

Zero negativesAbout 1 1/2 years ago I switched to cold brew coffee from the Melitta pour through style. While still using the Melitta #6 cone, the only difference is that I don’t boil water for the pour through. I’ll put 5 large tablespoons of freshly ground beans in a quart mason jar and shake it for about a minute. Then it goes on my kitchen counter until the next day. During the course of 24 hours I’ll shake the jar multiple times to disperse the grounds throughout. The following day I simply put my filter in the #6 cone and pour through. I do rinse the jar with another 4 or so ounces of water and pour that through as well. That’s 3 days worth of delicious coffee without any heat at all. Much smoother than brewed. Highly recommended.
