The lower pin broke on my original piece which I have found out is not at all uncommon. This part replaced the original one perfectly and restored all function to my keurig.

The needle arm on my four-year-old K 475 broke off yesterday morning (9/18/22). As a temporary work-around, I poked a very small hole in my pod and it worked fine, but still wanted a permanent fix. I called Keurig and they said they would ship me a replacement, free of charge, but would take 5 to 7 business days. So I checked on Amazon. There were quite a few sellers and based on the photos, they all appeared to be identical so I ordered one. Fast delivery (arrived the next day). After ordering, I noticed that on closer inspection of the photo, there seemed to be and extra small, curved arm at the bottom of the pod receptacle opening. Not all of the photos from other sellers showed this, so I thought I would just wait and see. When it arrived, I noticed that the little arm was not present, and in fact was totally identical to the old one. I removed the inner holder and washed all three parts. When re-inserting the inner holder, it did not go in as easily as the original, but with care I got it back in.
This seller did not specifically include my model, but stated that it worked with ALL 2.0 machines, such as … then had a list of models, but did not include mine. There was one seller that specifically stated “excluding K 475”. Yet, they all look pretty identical to the original, so not sure what the exception was stated for. Perhaps it has something to do with the so called “DRM” issue, but I believe that is some kind of reader in the top part of the opening, to assure that only licensed K-pods are used (cheap shot from Keurig if you ask me). Mine does NOT have the reader. Keurig discontinued the 2.0 machines from what I have read. So the bottom line is, fast delivery and it works the same as the original. Same durability? Only time will tell. I can only assume that with use over time, the needle becomes dull and since more force is required to pierce the bottom of the pod as the needle dulls, it will eventually give away from the increased force. Too bad Keurig didn’t design these with a simple needle/arm-only replacement. When I get the original from Keurig, I will use that and keep this as a backup for the future. I guess the durability of the needle arm is dependent on use (I make 3, maybe 4 cups per day). The newer machines are more expensive so I want to keep this one going (I keep up with all the suggested maintenance) as long as I can. The price seems right, so for a quick replacement, this is the way to go.

I liked the price, less than 20$ for a part I was afraid would cost much more. It was fit perfectly and installed exactly the same as the part I had to replace in my Keurig. By my own error however, I had to buy it twice. I’d forgotten how it installed and didn’t see the instructions on the box before removing the center stretching part that held it in place. It was my fault so I simply bought another and didn’t ask if I could return it. Only thing I’d suggest you do differently is to include directions separate from the box on a piece of paper inside the box. Both would be best.

2nd one of these I bought but not from the same supplier. To me, this one if far superior. Worked great with no issues and it’s been a few months now. Pretty soon I’m sure I’ll have to break down and just buy a whole new unit, but for now it’s serving it’s purpose.

i have 2.0 keurig and it stopped working. I figured it was old and just died. We bought a new keurig and thought it was an upgrade. Nope, I’ll take my 2.0 any day. The new one frustrated me, so I decided to look at the old one and see why it broke. Turns out the only thing it needed was this piece because the bottom needle broke off. I ordered it and popped it right in no problem at all. YouTube helped!
