It brews very fast. No need for a pause and serve feature. Prior to this I had one of the Tim Horton coffee brewers (which is basically a Bunn; made by Bunn). I thought it was a crazy price for a coffee maker. It is very much worth the money. The previous one lasted for 10 years. So all in all that works out pretty cheaper. And in my household it is going all day long 8am to 11pm ; pot after pot. WELL worth the money.

If you want coffee in 3 mins. like it says , You have to leave it on permanently or it takes 18 min.
Now a days who can afford the extra hydro , and then you are drinking hot water sitting in the pot for days ,
May as well pour boiling water over a filter with coffee grounds in it, you get the same results

The drip method is my least favorite (my first place picks are all vacuum brewers). What I wanted was a space friendly, quick brewer with consistent flavor, ease of use, and simple cleaning. My best hope was finding a unit that could hit those marks and last. I did not realize Bunn still made these.
Fast, consistent brew, and cannot be easier to use, and maintain.
I would prefer a slightly larger brew basket, too fully support coffee shop standards on water to ground weight, but in 20 years or so, when this unit gives out, maybe they’ll have that option.
If you want the best flavor possible from your coffee gear, get a burr grinder and a vacuum pot. For quick cups, this is the best option you’ll ever find.

Everything as described. Works as it should. The new pot design is good for the most part.

This is a replacement for the exact model that I’ve had for several years, that gave up the ghost. Considering the number of pots it has made every day, it deserves the rest. Because of the speed brew feature, great tasting coffee and a carafe that doesn’t drip (unless you really try) I had to have the same model. At first glance the design of the carafe and lid looks strange, but it’s the design that makes it drip resistant.
Another great feature is that big red light on the face of the coffee maker that indicates the burner is still on. I actually bought a similar Bunn model several years ago that looked a bit sleeker with a small blue light by the heating plate, but after leaving the pot turned on a overnight few times because of how hard to see that tiny blue light was from across the room, I returned it to Bunn and exchanged it for this model with the large, hard to ignore, red light. This also speaks highly to the great customer service found at Bunn. Blue light is not perceived by the eye as easily as red, and believe me when I tell you, that small blue light is SMALL, and doesn’t stand out from across the room.
So, when it died, it was a no brainer to replace it with the exact model.
