Muy linda la cafetera y sus aditamentos, la usé 2 veces solamente y a la tercera… ya no prendió… pensé que Mr. Coffee era una marca confiable, quedé decepcionada…

No idea if I’m just using it wrong but the ice coffee part doesn’t work… does exactly what you’d think normal hot coffee would do …….

I am happy to find a coffee maker that my travel mug will fit onto. None of the Keurig makers would work. I have found that putting a filter into the filter that comes with this maker does wonders for the flavor. I just cut a store purchased filter down to fit. The tiny k cup filters will work too but on the small side. I use a travel mug around the house. It saves spots on my near white carpet, it keeps my coffee warm and it holds more than a coffee mug.

We bought this for our camper because I wanted something that didn’t take up a whole lot of space, but was still faster and easier to clean than an electric water kettle and french press. Overall, I love it, but it has a couple drawbacks which may or may not be a dealbreaker to someone, so here’s my pros and cons:
PROS:
-Slim design lets me tuck it in the corner of the counter so I’m not sacrificing precious space in the camper.
-FAST. Just as fast as brewing with a Keurig, without having to buy the pods
-Easy to use. There’s only two buttons: Hot or Iced. the amount of water you put in the reservoir is how much coffee you’re going to get. I just fill up whatever cup I’m going to be drinking out of with water and use that to fill the reservoir. Also, the included scoop has easy measurements based on how many ounces you’re brewing and whether its hot or iced.
-Easy to clean. Just dump out your grounds and rinse out the filter
-More affordable than a Keurig, in both the machine itself and the coffee you use (no pods!)
-Brews both hot and iced coffee (of course, that’s why we’re here!)
CONS:
-If you’re brewing back to back cups, you want to wait 10 mins or so for it to cool down some between brews. 1.)The filter is still really hot, so pulling it out to clean it right away is difficult. 2.) the heating element in the reservoir is still hot, and is now not covered by water, so when you go to pour new water in, the water steams and splashes back up and can burn you (happened to me a couple times)
– I think the iced coffee function could use some tweaking. I’ve had ones made on the Keurig, and the ice keeps, and my drink stays cold for quite a while. With this one, I feel like my ice melts too quickly and I’m left with a watered down coffee, even in my Yeti cup. Both this and the Keurig start out brewing the coffee hot, and then switch to cold as to not melt the ice. I think the timing/temperature ratio is off on this one and it goes too hot for too long. There could be other factors in play here that have nothing to do with the machine, but based on what I’ve compared, they just come out different.
Overall, I really like this coffee maker, and if I ever need to replace it down the road, I will probably buy it again. I think it’s a great alternative to the Keurig, both in cost and waste since it’s not using pods. We use it mostly for hot coffee, so the drawbacks in the iced coffee function aren’t a huge deal for us.

I like this coffee maker. It’s quick and easy. Although a bit larger than my old single serve Chulux, it is still narrow so doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. You definitely need use the tall tumbler provided to catch both hot or cold coffee to avoid splashing. Then pour hot into a mug if you prefer drinking from a mug. Overall, the taste from my percolator is better in my opinion, but I still switch off to this one when I’m in a hurry or just feel like it. Being that this coffeemaker is the shower style (water runs over the coffee once, different from percolator), a bit more coffee has to be used to achieve the same strength as the perc. We’re in a recession, so I decided to experiment. After making 16 oz. of hot coffee (the max allowed in the well), I poured out the 16 oz coffee into mugs and then (after 3-4 mins of cooling the machine) I added another 6 oz water to the well and turned the machine back on using the same grinds (still hot) to see how it would come out. Note there is sizzling when you add additional water so be careful) ..Wow! The extra 6 oz cup from the same grinds was every bit as strong as the previous 16 oz.! Actually I think I could have added 8 oz- will try it next time. Haha well I’m sure not everyone has time to mess around with it but I hope this tip helps someone who likes being frugal- you can get an extra cup of coffee out of the deal. I would recommend this machine to others.

DISAPPOINTED!!! I purchased this coffee maker on September 14th. It’s now November 2nd and when I went to make coffee this morning, I discovered that the coffee maker I’ve had for six weeks no longer works. Can’t return it because the return window closed two weeks ago. Not impressed at all.

I replaced a traditional coffeemaker with this one at my job since I didn’t need to make more than a single cup at a time. This coffeemaker is slim and fits under the cupboards better than the old one.
Pros:
-The measuring scoop fits on the side with either side up (it’s a little thing, but you don’t have to stop and remember which way it fits. Put the big scoop up or down, it doesn’t matter!).
– The measurements give you suggestions for making a stronger cup of coffee if you wish.
– You can easily make a second cup immediately, should you so desire.
– Clean up is easy. No filter, no pot.
Cons:
– This does not keep the coffee hot for you. In a traditional drip coffeemaker, there’s a heated element underneath keeping the pot warm. However, this doesn’t bug me since I can just microwave my cup if I don’t get to it right away.
– There is some splashing from the drips if you have a lower mug.
– I’m not sure what the “iced coffee” feature is for. It comes out heated enough that any ice you have in your cup melts and you end up with lukewarm coffee. If I want iced coffee from this machine, I make it in advance and put it in the fridge. Again, this doesn’t bother me enough to lower my score.
I really enjoy this coffeemaker. I can’t say that the quality of the coffee made is better than a traditional drip coffeemaker with a pot. I think that’s more dependent on the type of coffee grounds you use and the ratio of grounds to water. Still, clean up is easy, it’s petite, and it meets my needs!
