So it boils water quickly and it’s great if that’s all you want, but there are a few problems with everything else. I cannot fit enough tea bags in the center column (they have no strings) to make a strong tea brew. The column needs to be wider or deeper so I can put more in to make it stronger. Also, putting in or taking out that center column is difficult due to the hot steam and it can sometimes fall inside if you’re not careful. I feel like the people who made it never made tea in it or they probably would have noticed that problem since you are supposed to only let the tea steep for a certain amount of time. My hand hardly fits inside so I can clean it. The filter at the spout is a little finicky as well to take off and put back on. I think it is overall okay though since it is still usable and is probably fine for most people, but I’m not getting another one if it breaks.

This is great for boiling water for teas and convenience foods like Ramen. Quick to heat, the LED indicator is nice, and it does shut off automatically. If you’ve got a teen heading off to college or a 1st apartment this would be a nice addition to their living space.

Love the large capacity! Boils within minutes. I can food, and this has been a lifesaver for heats lids, having spare water, or for making syrups. Boyfriend is even using it for Ramen noodles! Happy with my purchase

I read all the reviews on this before I purchased it. I do not have issues with the cord or the stand. The water comes to a boil very fast and has a large capacity. I do find that the steam from the water can singe your hand but if you hold the handle lower down then it does not do that. I use this every week to boil water for tea, milk tea, soup cups, instant mashed potatoes, etc. If you lift the lid after use then the tank dries out quickly and easily.

So let’s start with the bad:
– I’m not a huge fan that the lid isn’t removable from what I can tell. To add on to that the button that opens the hinge on the lid is hit or miss as to whether it will work. After pressing it enough time it does come open but putting the button on the part that opens wasn’t good design choice.
– The manual says to use 1 liter of water to make 4 cups of tea and to use that as the max water for tea. Personally the tea infuser they send doesn’t seem to fit put the tea far enough into the water for my taste at that water level. With that said there’s a filter on the spout, so you can put the tea directly into kettle and pour it out into a tea pot or something if you’d like.
Now for the good:
– It has 5 different temperature settings, with both lights on the handle to show which one is selected and a ring of lights near the base that changes color to show which is selected. Looks nice and is functional.
-It turns off automatically when the temperature is reached and beeps at a decent sound.
-The spout filter is great for infusing tea directly into the kettle.
-It looks nice while being very functional.
-It keeps it’s heat pretty well. I’ve found that my tea is still pretty hot after an hour or 2. Even if it does get cold, reheating is simple.
Overall I enjoy it. I’ve used it every day for a week multiple times a day and am impressed. Great way to make water for hot chocolate and great for tea. I’d personally recommend it with a warning that the tea infused they send is sub-par.

I bought this kettle, despite its bad reviews, thinking that maybe other buyers were getting unlucky. Surely, mine would be different! Also, it was so pretty and looked so simple to use, and the price was right for a temperature-variable kettle. How could I say no? (I did buy the warranty to go along with it, just in case.)
For the first couple of months, I had no complaints. It worked as expected, was aesthetically pleasing, and was easy to clean and reliable. And then… the problem that would be this kettle’s undoing slowly started to become visible. When you place the kettle on its base, it usually makes a beep. At first, I just noticed that this ‘beep’ sometimes sounded a little strained, or would cut off before making its full noise. Then, sometimes, it didn’t make the beep at all, and I couldn’t power the kettle on without shifting it to a different position on its base. It was only a couple of spots where the contact with the base seemed to be off and the kettle didn’t work, so it was fine… sort of.
Over about 3 weeks’ time, getting the unit to power on got more and more difficult, until I would have to rotate the kettle across the whole base to find the one ‘sweet spot’ where it would run. It finally gave up the ghost today and no longer works at all.
While it worked, I was very happy with it, but it was used fairly sparsely for less than 3 months. There is no reason it should have broken down so quickly. I’m glad I bought the extended warranty!

I swore I didn’t need one of these. A teapot on the stove was fine. Yeah, but I’ve sized down and that teapot gets in the way of wide pans on my much smaller stovetop. I have a coffee corner in a handy space in the counter this fits in there nicely.
I feel foolish for waiting so long! This reduces the amount of heat the gas stove would have created and it takes just a minute to get the water boiling. There are three heat settings, each for a particular type of tea! Who knew that made a difference? The way the base lights up is attractive, but serves a purpose as each color designates the temperature you’re shooting for.
I love this thing. I’m a bit worried that the first thing to fail will be the button on the lid. I’d be happier with a lid that comes completely off so it could be replaced. Other than that, it’s easy to clean, easy to use, and whether it’s in use or not, looks sleek on my counter.
There are people complaining about rust forming on the bottom. I’ve had no such problem, but I also make sure I don’t leave old water in there sitting until the next time I use it. I make sure the bottom is dry before I set it on the base and empty it after use so it dries out.
If I had the stovetop space, it’s likely I’d never have purchased this. However, it’s making my life easier now, so I recommend it. I should mention that it lets you make tea in any room with access to fresh water. You can use it in your office just as easily as the kitchen, keeping your next cuppa warm and handy. On that basis alone, I recommend it.

The base is super light and feels cheap, should have some weight to it but if lighter than the empty container. The container is super easy to clean and looks good, however the glass is very thin and feels like a simple knock on something will shatter it. Wouldn’t recommend around kids or clumsy people.
