No temperature control but I just need it to boil and stop automatically when it has boiled so it’s perfect for my needs. Seems well built, the glass kettle does not impart any odors at all to the water. The blue light when it is on is very visible so no chance of leaving it on and forgetting and even if you do the auto off will come in upon boiling. Boils VERY vigorously so do not exceed the maximum level marking even though it looks rather low for the body of the kettle!
Only complaint is that the metal screen at the spout is much smaller than the opening and doesn’t actually cover the opening well. Doesn’t bother me here but if you have creepy crawlers where you intend to use it, be careful.
I am using this several times a day and liking it a lot!

This this is soo freaking awesome!!! I can’t believe I haven’t gotten one sooner!!! No more standing at the stove forever, sprinkling a lil salt in the water so it will boil like 10 seconds sooner….🙄 or you leave after turning the stove on and your significant other walks by you in pigtails, wearing a teeny tiny mini skirt with no underwear!! 🤤 and it’s an obvious requirement that you Chase that booty down because you just happen to have a ticket to “POUND TOWN” in your pocket, and it’s definitely time to give it to her so she ride the “rides!! 😉”. So after about 30min to an hour later you come back to the kitchen and you realize that you’ve won the worst cook in the world hat and you have burnt water and through the bottom of the pan because you were impatient and wanted the water to boil fast so the stove was maxed out…….well this lil baby will absolutely save your sweet butt from that ever happening to you because it literally boils water in no time flat and next time the pound town fair comes to town you will be just finishing up your bowl of (insert your choice of food here) and when you get back there won’t be any molten steel burning a hole through your kitchen floor!!!! (OH I just wanted to also say that whole story was just a hypothetical…. IDK who that happened to but it’s just a given that has happened many a time during every forknight) So in conclusion, yes you freaking need this thing and your significant other will thank you later instead of taking pictures so she can post on FB hoe great of a Chef you are!!!🤑

Edit: After less than a year, it has failed twice. Simply refuses to turn on. So much warranty hassle. So much wasted time.
This kettle is appealing to look at and I enjoy that it is glass and not plastic. That being said, the maximum fill level is about 50-60% and it’s very large for something that only boils 1.7L. I was guessing that was so they could have a larger heating element on the bottom and boil faster, but it’s very bulky (takes up twice the space that my last kettle did). They need to make a smaller or taller model.

I had a product totally lined with plastic–water cooked in it smelled and tasted like plastic forever. That’s not healthy, either! I wanted to live more healthily and wanted good-tasting water for a delicious cup of tea. I was adamant at finding a glass and stainless steel electric hot water pot. That means that even the inner lid should be made of stainless steel! Furthermore, since I had just remodeled my kitchen, the kettle had to be STYLISH. I found this COSORI Electric Kettle! It’s my dream come true! I love it. I use it every day and am 100% satisfied. Why? It boils water fast; water tastes good; a beautiful circle of blue lights come on when electricity is on; my hand or face does not get burned when pouring hot water out of it thanks to the special safety-featured lid structure; the hinged lid opens wide enough to allow pouring water in and out very easily; and it is stylish to enhance the decor of my new kitchen. I don’t even have to rinse or clean the interior of the kettle. I just pour the remaining water out and keep the lid open ajar for a few hours. And voila! The kettle is perfectly clean and spotlessly dry for the next use. I came back to this page just to write this review. I am THAT MUCH happy with my kettle.

Inexpensive, large capacity (boils 1.7 liters of water consistently in 7 minutes). Simple, but also beautiful, especially when the ring of blue LEDs at the bottom of the kettle is on. For such a large kettle, the design is surprisingly ergonomic. The handle has a large diameter, stays cool to the touch, and is placed so that the kettle is well balanced when either full or empty. Being glass, the kettle needs to be handled carefully, and the on/off switch at the base of the handle, while reliable in operation,, seems fragile. I’ve only had the kettle for a week, so I can’t speak to its long term reliability, but it has performed exactly as advertised so far, and I’m very happy with it. One caveat: I only use it to boil filtered water, as my area is known for its hard water. While it looks easy to descale if and when I need to, I would definitely not attempt to boil anything but plain water in it,

This kettle was great un the beginning. Water capacity was what I needed and it looked nice with the light. Unfortunately about 4 months after purchase, I started noticing build up in betweene the base and lights. I have followed the descaling instructions and still can’t get it clean. Now 7 months later, I started to see rust! I thought it was completely stainless steel and glass. Guess not!
Update, I contacted the company directly and since the Kettle is still under warranty, they are shipping me a new one.

I recommend this kettle to everybody. There is no plastic that the water or steam touches – the pout mesh is good quality stainless steel while the body is glass with stainless steel bottom. The kettle is a tad wider and a tad shorter than all other kettles I owned. I personally love the fact that it is shorter – it makes it very easy put under the tap to fill. I use over the counter filter and after 2 weeks hasn’t got any mineral deposits on the bottom. Even when they appear, I know from previous steel bottom kettles, that boiling water with a juice of one lemon a few times and letting it sit for 10min completely removes deposits, so I ma not worried. Blue light indicates that the kettle is on. No issues with auto switch off so far or a dry boil switch off (I put it on in the dark, so didn’t see if there was a water. It switches off right away, so I had to switch on the light to see what was going on. There was no water in, so I confirmed that dry boil protection works). The white and glass that I bought is very nice and not cheap looking. Overall, very happy with the purchase, albeit I must admit that my old plastic kettle with stainless steel bottom was boiling full tap cold 1.7 litter water in 5 min vs this one taking 7min but really when is 2 minutes makes a difference?

OK, so I’m adjusting this review in the light of what eventually has been almost embarrassingly excellent customer service. Sadly the kettle still underperforms slightly due to a rather too lengthy period during which the water continues to boil. The non-glass kettle still performs better. Anyway, here’s my original review:
“Overall I was fairly satisfied with this kettle until recently (11 months after purchase) when the automatic switch-off failed. This meant that, since I was working in the adjoining room – having assumed that the automatic switch would work – when I returned to the kettle a few minutes after the boil I found it almost boiled dry, the kettle still merrily evaporating the last few drops of water left in the jug. I imagine this is fairly dangerous, and furthermore would surely damage the kettle. I now no longer trust this item to do its job. To be honest I have always felt that the kettle boiled for an excessive duration past initial boiling. This has happened just one month short of the manufactures 1 yr warranty and so I have just e-mailed them a request for a satisfactory resolution to the problem – either a replacement kettle or a full refund. I will append any further notes to this review once I have heard back from the Cosori customer support service.
Over 1 month later and I can finish this review: the customer service at Cosori responded very quickly and sent me a replacement kettle – sounds great. Only thing is they have sent me a different kettle. They have sent me a non-glass “original” model. I tested it alongside my malfunctioning item and sure enough the auto-shut-off activated a good minute and 20 secs before my glass kettle. So, the replacement works better, but it’s a cheaper item … and I did not want this model. I was looking for a glass kettle or one that I could readily check on the contents.”
And so, in conclusion, I’m still not entirely satisfied with the glass kettle’s performance. But, honestly, the amazing customer service more than compensates. This is such an important consideration when building client-vendor relationship. I will certainly go straight to Cosori next time I’m looking for kitchen items. thanks guys!!
