I needed a hot water kettle and after seeing the prices of the non electric ones that go on the stove that are $30 even at homegoods it’s almost a no brainer to get this one – it’s electric and it works great. I’ve had it less than a week and it’s been working fine. I just heat the water for my coffee or tea in the morning and sometimes for when am cooking. It lights up when you heat it and shuts off when it’s done. Lovely little kettle! Hoping it stays working well for a long while!
I gave it 4 stars because it was delivered in the box that the kettle comes in and it wasn’t in another box protecting it – which was very strange and shipped like that it’s a wonder that it’s not defective. I kept the box in case it has to be returned.

I recently visited London for the first time, so of course I became obsessed with all things “tea.” I fell in love with Fortnum & Mason and came back with just about a truckload of loose tea… anyhow, while in England in my hotels I stayed at there was always an electric kettle. It was just wonderful to be able to plug in the kettle and have boiling water in about 45 seconds – no kidding. When I got back to the States I looked for the type of kettle I had seen in the hotels an found this one. For under $20 it is amazing at how well it works. I typically only do a cup of tea at a time, so I put only about 12 oz. of water in the kettle and it truly is boiling in 45 seconds. In the microwave I’d have to set the timer for about 3 1/2 minutes to get the water ready for tea. I highly recommend this product!

I sent this to my daughter who is away at college, and she loves it. Her dorm room does not have a microwave, so she uses it to fix ramen noodles and oatmeal for quick meals when the mess hall is not open. She said it doesn’t take long for the water to heat at all and cooling down is almost instant. I am thinking about getting one for the house.

I am obsessed with this electric kettle. I make tea every day and have not been disappointed with this purchase. It doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. The kettle gets very hot very quickly. It automatically turns itself off once the water reaches a certain temperature. The internal light also goes off when the kettle turns off – which makes it very easy for me to tell if it is on or not. Since I only use water inside of it, I haven’t tried cleaning it yet – but I’m sure a warm wet cloth and a quick towel dry would be okay.

I enjoy how quiet this kettle is as that was my main goal. It’s fast and easy to use. The one thing I don’t like is the plastic inside. Once my water is heated and I pour it I can SMELL the very distinct odor of hot plastic. This makes me concerned for health implications over time even though it may be BPA free. So if this would be something of concern to you I’d look elsewhere. If not this is a fantastic kettle for the price!

Does what is advertised. It is a little slower than my previous kettle (Proctor-Silex, bought 8 yrs. ago and still works), which had the heating element on the inside of the kettle. It’s about 60-seconds slower (not a big deal for me). I had to use a vinegar solution to get the “plastic taste” out of the kettle and it took a couple of applications to finally get all the plastic taste out. But it being BPA-free is worth that extra time to make the water generic tasting. Good bang for the buck, considering many of these kettles are above $20 and this one is much less. Unfortunately, this was shipped in it’s own (product) box, which did get beat up much. But it works fine.

Purchased two and they get use it daily. Cleans easily w vinegar. Takes 7-10 to boil water. Handle is adequate. If you don’t hear the click, the light also goes turns off when water reaches boil. Which is nice visual cue. The lid opens by button on top and has a little filter in the spout.
One at home and one at college…

I was going to get a hot water dispenser that holds hot water 24/7 but it seems like they all were rusting and having all sorts of problems. So I decided to just get this kettle to heat water as needed then empty it out. The first box I got, it was haphazardly closed and when I opened it it looked used. The mesh piece inside the spout looked burnt. But they finally gave me a brand new one after returning. I like this kettle a lot, I hope it doesn’t suffer the same problems as the hot water dispensers overtime.
