Paring Knife 4 inch – Small Kitchen Knife Forged from German Stainless Steel 5Cr15Mov (HRC58), Full Tang, Sharp Paring Knife for Cutting, Peeling,…
$21
- [High-quality Blade Material]: Constructed from high quality German stainless steel 5Cr15Mov(one of the most popular kitchen knife steels in mainstream German knives) which allows the blade to retain its edge for enduring, high-performance results.
- [Great Balance]: Great Balance is one of the most important features that should take into consideration when choosing a paring knife. Full tang construction distributes weight more evenly along the knife which provides great balance and leverage capabilities.
- [Non-Slip Ergonomic Handle]: Ergonomically shaped handle offers you an ideal place to position your thumb while keeping a secure, comfortable grip. With flawless polishing process, the handle will not become slippery even when dampened with moisture.
- [Razor Sharp Edge]: A sharp knife means more control and less slippage when you cut, leading to safer, more consistent slices. Three times lower speed edge grinding process make the small kitchen knife sharp as a razor.
- [Warranty]: STEINBRÜCKE provides maximum customer satisfaction and all STEINBRÜCKE knives are backed by a lifetime warranty. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact us.

Six month update: Yup…Steinbrucke is right; after six months of unrelenting dishwasher cleaning these knives look like the day I bought them.
A bit more expensive now, but still a fantastic value if you want a good knife that can withstand dishwasher cleaning.

Original review:
I received written assurance from the Steinbrucke people that their knives are OK with dishwasher cleaning.
I do not normally put good knives in the dishwasher. I have a beloved collection of high carbon steel and Damascus steel knives that I would never subject to such abuse.
But everyone in the family seems to grab paring knives first, for all sorts of tasks. They do their thing, they don’t take time to wash, they get on with their busy life, and they leave a pile of soiled paring knives behind.
So with paring knives, I’m willing to make a dishwasher exception; I bought four of the Steinbrucke 4 inch knives.
First, the quality. These are full-tang, forged stainless steel blades that are finely ground. These are not the thin stamped steel blades as with the dishwasher-safe knives from “that other” big German knife company and many others. These knives are substantial, sturdy, well balanced, and a pleasure to use. They hold an edge well and sharpen easily (I use a 1” belt sander, typically with 16 or 6 micron Trizact belts).
The fact that they are less expensive than “that other” company’s knives makes Steinbrucke even more appealing.
So I’m putting them in the dishwasher (top shelf, see the picture) every day. I load them in a way that they can’t crash into each other from turbulent forces. I’ll update this post if anything negative happens.
At this point I’d say Steinbrucke offers exceptional value in knives. I might buy a few more just to keep the family happy.

This knife is very sharp, I hope it holds it’s edge.

These are small, 4″ very pointy paring knives – You get 1, I ordered 2. The tang is the full handle, however, they are super lightweight. I was hoping for something a bit more weighty and better balanced and maybe not so pointy – but they will work. They keep an edge about as well as my others. Time will tell about wear and longevity. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item – your experience may be different. Best low-cost paring knife that I have found. My only complaint is that I was looking for it to be more narrow. But this works fine.

Very sharp, seems solid. Value for the price seems good. Recommended.

My great Global Steel knives are in storage. I needed a good knife at a cheap price to use in the interim. This was it. Keeps it’s edge, has the right balance, and the weight is perfect.

If you can have only three knives in your kitchen, a paring knife is essential. This is a good choice, not inexpensive but worth it.

Knife came with a very good edge on it. It holds that edge very well! I bought this to replace a Henkel that went AWOL. It’s substitution in my knife block is not even noticeable.

Very nice looking knife. Extremely sharp out of the box. Knife handle can be very slippery, so be careful when you use this knife to cut greasy items like chicken or beef. Feels bit too heavy and not so balanced. Feels dangerous to maneuver in the kitchen, specially when the children are around. Also in my opinion, 8 inch knives are better suited for home kitchen.
