Not sure why I bought this, but glad I didThis was random for me as I never had a 2tb measure. I used it for instant coffee prep and most recently learned it makes the perfect size cookies when baking for the kids.

Exactly what I wanted, but a bit on the cheap sideI just moved out and I was stuck scooping coffee into my coffee machine with a tea spoon. This proved to be a disaster because I shake a lot and end up spilling coffee everywhere. This spoon has allowed me to scoop coffee without spilling it everywhere. It works great in normal smaller-handle position, it is sturdy. When you extend the handle, the cheapness of the product becomes apparent. Instead of smoothly extending outward, it kind of breaks into two pieces and then you need to put it back together as an extended-handle spoon. It’s really weird. In this extended position, it is flimsy and not sturdy. Then if you want it back in normal smaller-handle position, you just push the handle inward.I paid about $5 and for that price, this is a great spoon. If you leave it in the normal smaller-handle position, it is a great sturdy spoon. The only reason I would say not to buy this product is if you are looking for a great extended-handle coffee spoon. I would recommend this product. 4 out of 5 stars.

Perfect pot of coffeeLove it one scoop per measure on coffee pot. So for 6 cups I do 3 scoops. Gives the right amount for me but I like my coffee a bit stronger.

For my sonI bought this little coffee scoop as a gift for my son who has just gone to teach in Warsaw, Poland. His kitchen decor is mostly red so when I saw the red scoop, I knew I had to get it for him. Also, it’ll help him think of me when he uses it!

Great for HE washing machines!!It’s pretty well documented that detergent manufacturers want you to use more than the necessary amount of laundry detergent, so they can sell more product. Not only is the wasteful, but more importantly excess sudsing can actually damage a front-loading High Efficiency (HE) washing machine. Common wisdom (i.e. appliantology dot org) says that 2 Tablespoons is the amount necessary for a full load in most HE washers. So I bought this to use instead of the “cap” method of measuring and pouring. And a neat trick that works with my machine- I fill the scoop, dump the detergent into the tray, and since this thing ‘folds; I then just put the scoop in the tray upside down.and slide the drawer shut! That way I don’t need to wait for the gooey detergent to empty from the scoop. It keeps the scoop from getting caked up with detergent (I guess water flows through the tray?) and I always know where the scoop is! Of course, check your specific machine first- make sure the scoop won’t slide down into the bowels of the washer. But I suspect that this should work with the majority of washing machines…

A little flimsy, but does its jobI got this scoop to measure out portions of cat kibble for my feline overlords, so we wouldn’t have to eyeball their intake as much. Work well for measurement and is easy to pop in the dishwasher for cleaning. But the extendable part of the handle is a bit flimsy and doesn’t have a way to lock it in place once extended. So that’s not super great. But, otherwise, does the job as intended.

Extendable handle frequently comes off when pulledIf I pull the handle to extend it, the extension frequently comes off. I also discovered I use slightly more than 2 tablespoons per cup for my coffee. With this deeply rounded spoon, it’s hard to measure more coffee accurately. I should have looked for a 1 tablespoon scoop, which would have been more adaptive.

Perfect sizeWe had one of these scoops and when I switched to decaf for my heart, I wanted another of the same scoop because we both liked it. We use shallow containers for our grounds so we don’t even need to extend it. The click to keep the scoop extended wore out on our old one a while back.
