This scale is exactly what I was looking for. It is a little larger than the smaller digital scales. However, I wanted something that looked like the scales at the grocery stores. I have basically no mechanical skills. But this scale was so easy to assemble and the instructions were spot on! I even used a Phillips screwdriver to attach the platform support bar, removed the cardboard stabilizer, calibrated the equipment and presto! It sounds kind of technical. But believe me, it was one of the easiest things to assemble. I am very happy with the stainless steel design, and especially the bowl that is very easy to clean. I needed a scale to measure lemons and garlic for my cholesterol-lowering drink. The measurements have to be exact. Until purchasing the scale, I was estimating the weight, and didn’t want to do this. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great scale while cooking in the kitchen! Thank you!
Addendum: The scale is not holding its calibration and I am having to set it back to zero after weighing the food! It’s a minor inconvenience, however. I just have to remember to reset the number to zero before weighing.

Took this to sell produce at the market. People like that we had a scale right there and they could choose a small amount and what they wanted out of the produce. It’s not super heavy either so taking it back and forth is no big deal

I tested this scale with weight plates and it was accurate within 1/4 pound. Don’t try measuring to the gram.
