Affordable, works, but plastic melts!Really affordable and works well, but beware any plastic baster. If you’re basting in something hot and go too far down and touch the vessel you’re cooking in, the plastic will gradually warp and melt (as expected) and then stuff can get stuck and make it hard to baste. Had this for years but now have to look into a non-melting alternative. Maybe glass? Metal you can’t see through. We’ll see.

This Really SucksThis sucks!Love it!!Used it for basting a roast and a turkey so far.Suction is great and nice size too.

Not impressed with suctionSeems durable enough but weak suction only fills about 1/3 full, will leak unless held exactly vertical.

Exactly as expected, and one squeeze fills entire tubeSeems well made, easy to take apart and clean, and a single squeeze fills the entire tube. My old one only filled part way, so I’d have to tip it back so liquid would go into the bulb, then squeeze, then tip over to get more liquid.

DripsPerhaps every turkey baster will drip a bit and I just have to come to grips with that. Using this to remove small items in a tank. Works well overall but anything near the tip will spill out on removal from water. Can’t be any gentler or slower than I’ve attempted.

Oxo Does It Again! If you’re looking for a great turkey baster, this is one is amazing! It is very well made and so easy to clean! I replaced an older model turkey baster–you know they type: the metal tube with the black bulb that fell apart every time you squeezed the bulb and then you’d watch, and maybe even be burned by, hot turkey drippings that exploded and flew everywhere? That just has not happened to me with this Oxo Turkey Baster. The top part of the bulb attaches the bottom half of the bulb and that attaches to the top of the tube. I know! Who ever heard of a two-part bulb? I didn’t! But I’m very pleased by it. I look forward to many turkey holidays with this baby! Thanks Oxo!

Best one I’ve ever hadThis turkey baster is sturdy, and works well for a number of purposes. I bought to clean a dirty clogged tube that drains the refrigerator and it is perfect. Since then I have used it to remove too much water from the saucer of an overwatered plant, sucked up a spill I couldn’t get to easily with a towel. I guess the sky’s the limit on the things that this baster will work for. The brush included makes it easy to clean. The size of the squeeze bulb makes it easy to control how much fluid you are sucking up. It’s great, and I will never be without it again.

Purchased for slightly unorthodox use lolSo while I love using these basters in the kitchen when I’m cooking I actually needed something for my fishtanks. I’m currently dealing with a new shipment of neocaridina shrimp that have parasites. When they molt you need to remove the molt immediately to get the eggs of the parasite out of the water as they are laid inside of the exoskeleton. I needed a long baster to reach the bottom of the tank…and here we are. It’s very durable, the perfect length to reach the bottom of my Fluval spec 5 gallon and I can use it with pin point precision to make sure I don’t suck up any of the microscopic baby shrimp on accident. I highly suggest having one of these on hand to anyone that has tanks even if it’s just for getting left over food or crud off of the substrate to keep things looking tidy.
