This sturdy carving fork featuring two 6-1/2-inch prongs securely holds holiday hams or turkey in place during slicing. The square-shaped prongs gradually diminish to piercingly sharp tips enabling an easy initial puncture followed by a firm grip. Precision-forged stainless-steel construction resists rusting and won’t bend even under pressure. Designed to fit comfortably in hand, a fused blend of hardwood veneers and resin comprise the unique ebony Pakkawood handle. A traditionally offset stainless-steel bolster protects knuckles while a steel end-cap finishes the piece. Although dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. Manufactured in Japan’s renowned sword making city–Seki City, this tool includes a lifetime warranty. —- Amy Arnold

Expensive but necessary for my OCD.I had to have the matching set, I only wish I knew about this when I bought my slicer to begin with.

The Quality you Expect from ShunPerfectly balanced, and beautifully made.

Great quality, but handle smells like formaldehyde.Perfect companion for my shun classic hollow ground slicer. Only drawback was the handle had a strong residual chemical smell most likely from the finish. It was so bad I couldn’t use it for weeks. It smelled like formaldehyde, it brought me back to my old anatomy lab days. But it does go away over time. I would’ve given it less stars but miraculously when I took it out to carve the turkey the smell was gone. I guess it was a good thing I purchased this months in advance.

Not “HANDCRAFTED IN JAPAN”I’ve been putting together a Shun set for a while since they are a bit pricey. It has been my understanding that the extra cost has been to acquire higher end products “HANDCRAFTED IN JAPAN.” However, this product is clearly stamped “COMPONENTS FROM CHINA ASSEMBLED IN JAPAN” along with some slight scratches in the metal where it wasn’t completely polished. To pay $130.00 for this is so far my only disappointment in the Shun line. All the knives I have bought so far are very nice.

Quality ForkThis fork has nice weight to it, and matches the Shun Classic set. Worth the money, and I’d recommend to anyone who likes having matched carving knife and fork.

There was a defect in the item we receivedThe carving fork had a flaw in the way the handle met the metal of the fork. We are in the process of trying to work this out with the manufacturer.

Hefty and SleekWould I have purchased this if I didn’t own other Shuns? No. Is it worth the additional investment? Yes. I’ve had three previous carving forks. The only one that has survived is my All-Clad.You can really tell the difference in craftsmanship. This fork has a substantial weight. As with all Shun’s, the design is simple, yet beautiful. It feels good in the hand. The handle does not have the famous D-shape.Use this fork to make a beautiful impression.
