great value and works wellclamps well onto a table surface and went through some tough fish bones, frozen bait and skin with relative ease. I would recommend this product.

Cheap but functionalThe coarse plate doesn’t even fit. There’s an unsealed gap at the tip of the auger which is difficult to clean. The plates will rust quickly if not dried and oiled immediately after use. The blade is very dull. Trim your meat well, because gristle and fat will wrap around blade, causing blockage. The beef I ground was a bit mushy. I was a meat cutter for 8 years, so I know how a grinder should work. Overall, for the price, middle of the line. 3 stars. Could be better for sure, but could be worse too. I will probably sell this one and buy a better quality model.

poor qualityI’m pretty sure this wasn’t a new product that I received. It was very dirty…also had metal shavings in the castings so maybe it was just dirty and poor quality control. There is wear marks on the cutting wheel like someone had run bone thru it. I would certainly make sure to clean all parts on this before using.

Easy to clean, easy to use…I use it for grinding chicken up for my aging pugs. It works like a champ. This is the first grinder I’ve ever used, so nothing to compare it to. I have plans to use it to grind conch meat for conch chowder. An island delicacy….I love it so far. I’ll update if I have any issues.I’d recommend it to friends.

Watch out for steel shavings and steel powder in your meat. When I receive the unit there were pieces of shaved steel actually in the plates. I had to use a screwdriver to pry them out and clean off the pieces of steel that were still stuck in the holes. Also the first time I used the grinder I used it empty and just did about 100 revolutions before taking it apart and tapping onto a white piece of paper. There were shavings and powder just from doing rotations. I didn’t want to wreck good meat because of the steel shavings, so what I did was I saved meat scraps in the tub in the refrigerator and ran it through the grinder. It took me about six times of grinding the leftovers before I was confident that the metal on metal contact had been ground down sufficiently that there was no more steel shavings or powder either in the meat or when I ran the grinder empty. This is good for small jobs but if you were going to process a lot of meat by a professional one.

Inexpensive and easy to use. This was a gift item to a young couple in Alaska that needed something to grind moose meat. They were surprised when it arrived, as they had been trying to make jerky in strips. Just took a couple turns on the handle for them to realize they had a lifelong piece of quality kitchen equipment.

It works but not great and not easyThis grinder is heavy duty steel which has a nice, quality feel to it. But, I’ve used it 3 separate times now, i cleaned it before using it, and every time it leaves a really gnarly residue (I’m guessing it’s filings of metal but idk). The residue alone is enough to not wanna reuse it, but it also just doesn’t grind very well. Especially with chicken. The dial clogs up and the meat usually just slips around and even comes back up the top. It’s just a pain. It’s very easy to clean since all the pieces come apart.PS,I had less clogging issues grinding pork than i did with chicken. Haven’t tried beef yet.
