Just the thing for home made ravoGood size is better for a dish of ravioli. The smaller mold is better for ravioli appetizer

Very Well BuiltIf you have a pasta roller for your kitchenaid, it is so easy to make raviolis; and you can make so many types; meat, cheese, spinach, broccoli, it’s endless. You can even flavor your dough. Roll the dough, lay it on the mold, spoon on your filling, lay the top piece over it, put the top on and hit it with the rolling pin to press it, seal it, and cut it! You can put them on a cookie sheet, pop them in the freezer, then bag them after they are frozen so they don’t stick together.

Very goodI use this to make little hand pies – apple, cheery, berry, etc. Roll out pie dough about 1/8-1/4 inch thick (thinner the better). Cut strips and lay over bottom mold. Gently fill with pie filling, pushing down until dough just in touch with table. Lightly spread water or milk on mating edges. Place strip on top and add top mold, pressing to seal. Remove top mold and carefully invert bottom mold place on parchment lined cookie and ease the pockets free. Use sharp knife to separate pockets. Cook until golden brown. Cool an serve.

Doesn’t work with kitchenaid attachmentThis is great quality and a very simple design. The only issue is that it is just a tiny bit too wide to be able to use pasta sheets that come out of my kitchenaid attachment. I find this frustrating since I would think a large percentage of pasta making people use this attachment. I ended up only being able to use half of the mold at a time.

Works WellThe only issue I had was that it moved around on the counter when using the rolling pin.

Raviolis tonightEasy to use

Difficult to clean edgesIt does help make the nicely shaped ravioli forms, but it does take firm pressure and many passes to “cut” the pieces with a rolling pin. Because of this, I found it very time consuming to clean the pasta dough from the zig zag edges when finished.

Great concept but didn’t wow meThe overall quality of this product is just fine. Seems sturdy and durable enough. I didn’t give it five stars because I actually found it more frustrating and time-consuming to make ravioli with it than just doing it by hand. It was putzy and I ended up having to use a knife to cut them anyway. If you’re committed to all of your ravioli being identical and don’t mind spending three times as long doing it, this might be the tool for you.
