Better than most pizza cuttersI learned how to make pizza in 2020 at home, and although I think I could pretty much open my own pie shop, I haven’t had the best of luck with cutters. Like most people, I used an old “normal” cutter with handle for years. In 2020 I tried the ‘rocker’ style cutter, but it took up too much space and I didn’t have the strength to use it properly. Wasn’t interested in this wheel-only type because it was honestly scary, but since I do love Cuisinart products, thought it was finally time to try.Quality is good for the price and bigger than the typical cutters with handle. It definitely cuts through well, and I do appreciate that it comes with a blade guard. Just wish it came with instructions, because it took a while to figure out how to take it apart for washing. Was really scared to, but you have to pull from the bottom of the casing. Overall I will be using this from now on, but hopefully Cuisinart includes a piece of paper about how to take it apart in the future.

Cuts easilyThe media could not be loaded.
My brother has this style of pizza cutter and it works well, so I wanted to try one, too. It has a very sharp blade with a protective cover that easily slides into place. It is comfortable to hold and you have good control.Unfortunately, there are no instructions for taking it apart, and it took me awhile to figure it out. I posted photos and a video to help others. Basically, the hinge is at the top, so you hold it with the blade flat between your thumbs and pull it apart at the opening where the blade comes out. It unsnaps easily and can even be cleaned in the dishwasher.I would also note that it is not safe for kids because of the sharp blade.

Great Pizza cutter, easy to use with arthritic handsI’ve been used to using the regular old pizza cutter over the years, the handled one with a wheel on the end. They work well enough. But since developing arthritis, I appreciate gadgets that make my job even the least bit easier. This one is large, has a good grip, and lets you apply the force directly to what you are cutting. The blade safety cover is a huge plus, and makes letting the little ones help a lot safer for them. The blade is securely covered and you must roll the cover back and snap it in place to use the blade.Clean up is a little less simple that the other kind, but is offset by the ease of use gained with this gadget. You just snap the housing open and pop the blade off the post to clean it up.I definitely consider this pizza cutter a good buy for the money.

Our favorite type of pizza cutterI’ve noticed that several other of the reviews have mentioned safety as a concern. I think because this is the style of pizza cutter we’ve used for years with no mishaps, I can look at it a little differently. My kids use this pizza cutter or one like it daily; we have a knock off brand one that we’ve been using and I definitely needed one more to keep in rotation. This one fits in the hand a little better and the tab on it that you use to pop the shield open is larger than the one that we already had. I like that this style pizza cutter takes up less space and has a shield that keeps someone from accidentally cutting themselves when digging in the drawer. It rolls smooth, leaving perfectly cut slices of pizza, waffles and whatever wacky things my kids design in the kitchen.

Wonderful device, best grip on a pizza cutter.I see most of the reviews saying that this pizza cutter is dangerous. It really isn’t. When applying force to open the unit to clean the blade, apply the force AWAY from yourself and onto the counter, cutting board, or sink you’re washing the blade on.In regards to its cutting ability, the blade and grip combo is fantastic. I wish they’d make other pizza cutters like this.

Kitchen tool makes slicing pizza a breezeThis primary kitchen tool might be the one you don’t know you need until you try it. It easily slices through pizza crusts and can even serve as an herb mincer. A plastic guard keeps the sharp stainless-steel blade from causing injury when the wheel is not in use. The best feature is the blade doesn’t wobble and feels stable even when you apply firm pressure. The textured top makes it easy to maintain a good grip on the blade. Cleaning the wheel is easy. The entire pizza wheel can be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher.

Best pizza cutter yetThe media could not be loaded.
This pizza cutter works great it is so easy to take apart for cleaning. I also love that the blade can be covered to prevent the blade from cutting you.

Great pizza cutterIt allows you to put more pressure on the cutter without losing control of it since it’s right under your palm unlike traditional pizza cutters. I like the blade guard and how it’s attached to the knife so you have a harder time losing it. Made a slow process and lot faster and easier, can’t wait to eat more pizza with this.

Super dangerous to use and cleanAt first glance, this seems like it would be a great idea to simplify the pizza cutting process and make it easier/safer, but actually using the tool proves the complete opposite. The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because I do want to acknowledge that the blade is incredibly sharp, and, as expected, the design does give you better control/stability when cutting the pizza, which are the reasons I bought it in the first place.Despite that, actually using this pizza cutter is a recipe for disaster. The safety cover for the blade gives the illusion that safety was considered when designing this product, but sliding the safety cover out of place to use the cutter is very dangerous, as it takes a good amount of force to pop it out of place, and the tab to do so is pretty small, meaning your fingers are exerting a fair amount of force right next to the blade, leaving lots of room for error if your finger slips and hits the blade.Furthermore, cleaning this thing is a NIGHTMARE. It came with no instructions on how to open the thing up for cleaning, and frankly it wasn’t even clear if it could fully open. I’m not sure why they decided to have the safety cover slide into the tool, rather than just be fully removable before use, as having it lock inside just adds another thing to clean. The fact that the blade spins up into the safety cover during use means that sauce/cheese/toppings get dragged up inside the plastic sleeve, which then needs to be removed and cleaned in addition to the blade. Once I finally got the whole thing open to clean it, the blade/cover separate to clean each of them, but there isn’t really a good way to hold the (very sharp) circular blade to clean it safely. The whole process was a huge pain in the neck and I honestly can’t imagine anyone wanting to use this thing more than once. It’s both dangerous and a hassle to handle and clean. I absolutely would not recommend this product.
