The metal is thick enough to be sturdy, however because it is foldable it isn’t as solid as a single piece. When you use it if you’re not careful it will collape on you and drop your pizza.
I also found that the raw dough sticks to the peel much more than expected. I thought a perforated peel would perform better but I found little difference from a solid metal peel.

Not sure I’m understanding the advantages of a perforated peel yet, but this works very nicely. We have non perforated peels that we make our pizzas on, then get them into the pizza oven. I’ve been turning and finishing with this one. Can’t complain. Seems very good. Not overpriced. In this case, I feel like this is a very good value for the heavy material and good build quality. Best part? You can fold this to 90 degrees and put it in the back corner of the lower rack of a dishwasher — and barely take up any room because it’s sitting vertical! No more hand washing unwieldy pizza equipment! I’d buy this again in a heartbeat.

This peel works really well. No problem sliding it under your pizza, no problem sliding off.
Folding handle is nice – lets me store the peel with other things.
Cleans easily.
I don’t have anything bad to say about this peel – I think it works great.

Solidly built, no metal residue or metal smell, definitely a lifesaver taking pizza and the like out of the oven.. but..
95% of the time it works as intended, 5% of the time the metal piece stopping the handle from folding, slips, and your handle holds over.. would have been nice with some kind of lock, thankfully hasn’t happened while holding food as I make sure it is tightly pushed on.

We were so impressed with the video ad that we bought this product over other competitors. Give a raise to your video production team. They did an excellent job! Great investment. We love the product as well. Easy to clean, study, easy to use. We make pizza a lot at our house, so this is a must have!

Why is this thing soooo heavy? You need two hands even for the perforated version. I discovered too late this is STEEL! Can you believe that? Hard, heavy and completely inflexible steel. Get one of the normal aluminum peels. They’re only a tiny bit more expensive. Then you’ll be able to more easily flick pizza off the peel into your oven.

Bought this for our Ooni gas-fired pizza oven. Works great as a peel and a pizza turner. Perfect size for our 16″ oven. Would highly recommend it.

I can fault the product itself. It is well made, sturdy, easy to clean, and the foldable handle makes it easier to store. The only problem that I kept having when trying to transfer the pizza to the pizza stone was the dough would not release from the peel dispite how much flour I used on the pizza peel. I was using a handful of flour before I placed the dough in the peel and it still wouldn’t slide off, as I was expecting. Not sure if it it is the metal or what, but I feel I should have went with a wooden pizza peel. I feel the wood would adhere the flour better, giving you a better release of your uncooked pizza. Otherwise the pizza peel is a beast, if you’re in the market for a metal pizza peel.

Peel works well, I like how it folds up, I have a normal kitchen with normal drawers so it folding makes it storable.
