Excellent Bamboo Pepper Mill for table or light kitchen useThis is a very decent pepper mill. I personally prefer the crank style grinder since they give more output for use in the kitchen. Also, I was looking for a match to my bamboo salt cellar. But the grinder is good… maybe doesn’t adjust (tighten) down to as fine a grind as I prefer.UPDATE 4/28/21: this grinder is still looking and working great. ALSO, I take back what I said about adjustability, there is an adjustment on bottom to select coarseness of the grinder and it works great. Goes from just cracked coarseness to powder fine and the settings are detented so you can put it on a setting and it’ll stay there without slipping. Also, it makes it easier to remember where you had it set for a particular coarseness. FIVE STARS!

Please please do NOT buy this pepper and salt mill! look somewhere elseI have maybe written two reviews in my life because usually you get what you pay for but, this salt and pepper mill is absolute garbage. I bought both the pepper and salt grinder thinking that the company Zassenhaus would have made a quality product that stand behind their claims. I wanted this grinder because it claimed to be corrosion resistant and made from mostly natural materials so I could limit any plastics or harmful materials getting into my food. I figured that even though the product was expensive for a salt and pepper mill that it would be good enough quality that it would simply grind salt and pepper and I would never have to think about it again. However, after three months of minimal use, the pepper grinder was getting clogged and I would have to take it apart to fix it, as well as, the salt mill’s metal parts were rusting! I tried to return the product and it seems that the window of time to return the item has passed. So it seems that I have wasted about 70$ for nothing. For 70$ I could of bought a life times supply of pre-grinded salt and pepper. I am really upset at the company because its not that I didn’t use the product correctly or that my particular mill is just defective, its that the materials and design of this product are simply not appropriate for a salt and pepper mill. Hopefully the company will recall their product or just go out of business. Please don’t listen to the 5 star reviews. Most of them were written right after they received the product so they haven’t had enough time to watch there mills rust away. I bet most people haven’t even check to see if their are rusting.

Superb construction and ceramic grinder performanceThese are not the cheapest grinders by far but they should out performance most if not all others. German made, fully adjustable ceramic grinder mechanism which will stand up to salt. Nice olive wood body and great feel. I ordered the matching pepper grinder and the stand for both to complete the set! Should last a lifetime or more with nominal care.

Great product, but no box for $75?Seems like a quality product, but you would think that it would come with a box and some documentation for $75. Did I get a returned item? Who knows?

So far so goodI’ve had this product for a year now, and it works just as smoothly now as it did when I purchased it. I enjoy the clean and sleek look, the wood is and nice quality bamboo. The grinder mechanism is smooth, easy to change the settings, and it arrives filled with peppercorns. Of the six different sizes settings, I find that the smallest setting is best, as anything larger is simply too big, although that’s personal preference. I ended up choosing this product for its 25 rear warranty. If I were to purchase this pepper mill or a different one, I’d still choose this one.

Wow. Just Wow.I have been searching for a high quality pepper grinder for years, often being disappointed along the way. With Zassenhaus’ mills, I am very happy. They look great and work impeccably. I wasn’t looking for a salt grinder, but this was to god of an offer for both and I’m glad I did. They look great together and the salt grinder is perfect as well.

Not made in GermanyFirst let me say that the pepper mill looks and feels looks like a quality pepper mill. As far as function; it also function well, but no better than the quality pepper mills. But what I found disappointing was that according to the attached tag it was made in Albania; not in Germany. I suspect that the mechanism is made in Germany and the pepper mill was assembled in Albania.False Advertising??? A knock off???

Worth every penny. It seems like a little thing, but a quality pepper grinder is a nice thing to have. If you are using the grinder that comes with the pepper corns, get one of these. This is so much better!

Fake?
