A gem!I’d had this particular garlic press for years and it was perfect. Unfortunately it met its demise through no fault of its own. I purchased another garlic press that was supposed to be the best garlic press ever. Well, it is very nice and heavy and has extra features…. However, after using it for a month or two it is now sitting in the back of the drawer. I purchased another Norpro garlic press! I am telling you that this press is a little gem. Lightweight, no gadgetry or extra parts, straight to the point garlic press. The only downside that I could possibly find is that you can’t put it in the dishwasher but who cares. It takes seconds to wash, a no-brainer! I am a seasoned cook and I highly recommend this garlic press to those who just want to get the job done.

Great for the moneyWell constructed, heavy enough, and just enough slop in the fit to work well. Really tight fitting presses tend to try and push stuff through the mesh you don’t want pushed. This one sends the garlic and pushed the skin and nib out the back dependably. I’m of the school that for most uses, you should put your cloves under the flat side of a chefs knife or santoku, whack it once or twice, then skin and mince. That said, when garlic is going into a stew, or sauce, I want the juice as much as the solids, and that’s when I press. This one does a fine job, and is for my mind better than some of the more expensive alternatives.

Crushes garlic well and the gadget to clean the holes of so very usefulGreat little tool. Works great at crushing the garlic, you can get enough pressure by to get everything through the holes, but what i really like is the tool to clean out the holes, no more trying to get my brush through them to clear them out

You can’t go wrong with this one.I bought this to replace an identical garlic press that I’ve used almost daily for the last 30 years. So yeah, I like it, it does a fine job, and in thirty years I’ll buy another. I gave four stars because a five-star review is when a service or product gives way more than what I expect it to. This product is exactly what I expect.

Good garlic press with a handy cleaning tool! This is a fine product and it was well worth the price.the mere fact that i have a garlic press has inspired cooking ideas with fresher ingredients and it has been wonderful!it comes with a cleaning tool that pushes out any garlic or husk that gets stuck in the grates and it has been useful to cleaning this productIt is a little cheaper looking than I expected but that has not affected its performance and thats the important part right?the husk is easily contained and it is easy to press the garlic without straining your hand.Im very happy with this purchase and the price and I would recommend this and purchase it again!

Not as PicturedThe garlic press I got had curved handles, completely different than shown. Disappointing because I was looking for one just like the picture.

Minced Garlic in a Snap!Pop in a peeled clove, press, and snap – minced garlic! The key to this press is the secondary hinge on the part that presses into the perforated cup. The hinge allows the pressing face to remain parallel to perforated face of the cup. Most low-priced garlic presses do not have the secondary hinge and work more like a nutcracker, producing poor mincing and wasting garlic. This is a household level press. It is made of aluminum and the hinge pins are small. Professional use would wear the hinge pins out pretty quick. But it is a great value and timesaver for the family kitchen.

Great little gadgetI was hesitant to buy another kitchen gadget, especially since mincing garlic can easily be done with a knife or you can buy the jars of it. I never realized how often I would use this product. I use it all the time and don’t even bother buying those little jars anymore. I keep lots of whole garlic cloves on hand and mince them fresh with this press. What a difference fresh garlic makes! I still find myself chopping or slicing for certain recipes but this product has come in handy quite a bit. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and the quality is good too.
