Accurate but..It works great but the only problem is when the water boils its very hard to see the “level”.

Good product, buy red color ones, not yellowI have used this style product for years. Bought a different kind and because the color is yellow it is harder to see. I bought two this time. Lost track of time and water boiled away, and bottom of last egg time cracked. I will now be using a verbal time to alert me to check sooner, and not go too far and get sidetracked. The time is accurate as to what stage of doneness you want.

Buy more than one of these …I haven’t managed to break one, but keep buying more to give away away to friends who want to know the secret of actually making medium-boiled eggs.If you have friends/family/co-workers you suspect will be impressed by the consistency of your egg snacks, save yourself some “buy it again” clicks and get 2+ in the first place. As long as you want those people to know your secret. 🙂

Science is cool!Easy to use. Great way to visually see what’s happening inside the egg shell. It’s like showing you how the magic works!!! Pictures are worth many more words than I want to type so here you go…..the attached photos show what the eggs look like inside at each hatch mark when I cooked them. Last photo is all of them lined up left to right, from “Soft” to “Hard”. Will make great little gifts for all of the people who never got the hang of making boiled eggs.

Accurate.I love using this and I make more hard boiled eggs than I’d like to admit. But it’s very accurate and easy to read.

Great, but keep an eye on itWorks like an absolute champ! Just note difference between medium and hard boiled isn’t a lot of time even though the space between them is the same. It is an indicator of how done the eggs are, not an indication of cooking time left. Keep that in mind and you’ll be making perfect eggs to your desired level of done-ness

Will last years, if u don’t immerse in ice waterTried different methods for hard-boiled eggs, this gadget is great. works best if u stop just before the HARD line. Had one for years, Stupidly dumped in ice water with the cooked eggs, plastic made crackling sound, and red film warped. Just bought another one, will be more careful.
