The threads will not work with a standard American (Mirro, All American or Presto) pressure cooker. The aluminum is the softest I’ve ever seen. You could actually carve it with a pocket knife. This makes the threads very fragile, which is unfortunate because the treads are far too short to reach through my old Presto no. 7 lid. Overall I was able to use 1 out of the two with some heavy modification.
