This 8-inch skillet is exactly what I was looking for. It is the right size for grilled sandwiches and can fit two bun-size burgers or four smallish burgers to cook together. The two large handles make the skillet easy to work with if you want to stabilize the skillet while you stir or flip food. I’d say heat distributes evenly — judging by pancakes that come out evenly golden all over. The temperature control seems to function just fine. I use a spritz of avocado oil and have had no problems with food sticking.

I have always had gas to cook on but now in a small apartment without a stove so I thought I would see how an electric skillet would be to use. I have just started using the skillet and I am very pleased. I had an electric hot plate which I did not like. This little skillet is perfect for my use. I can heat soups and it does eggs just perfect. I am still adjusting to the control but that is because after 60 years this is my first electric. I am so pleased with this little 8 inch… highly recommend it.

This version of last purchase. This ones got deeper sides,will hold more content. Feels heavier then last one. I give it (8) stars.

I chose this electric skillet because I was looking for an appliance to use on my 1000 watt solar battery. This skillet uses only 600 watts, so that makes it perfect for my battery. To get an idea of size of skillet, I took 1-1/4 lbs. of hamburger, divided it in quarters, flattened into burgers, and was able to fit all four in the skillet with a small space inbetween each patty. This little skillet did a fine job cooking burgers and eggs with the temperature set at only the halfway point. I have no idea how long this non stick coating will last. I let this pan completely cool down on its own before washing it. Metal expands when heated, contracts when cooling down. Don’t know the elastic properties of the coating, so no sudden temp changes, and hoping there will be no peeling of the coating in the future. I know this will sound crazy to US consumers but there are electric skillets out there where the heating element is completely exposed. The element on this little skillet is NOT exposed. So far, I truly like this little skillet. I do wish it had a ceramic coating, but I knew it did not have a ceramic coating when I purchased it, so I did not deduct a star.

Using for travel. Using in the hotel. Makes grilled cheese, warms things that, and cooked eggs in the morning. Works great
