Works great! My electric knife died after 27 years. I bought two knives before this one and they both burned out after a couple of uses. This one seems to be better quality. Used it 4 times now and no issues.

AwesomeHusband has been hinting about wanting an electric bread knife, gave it to him for Christmas. It has been awesome! Slices bread without squishing it, and it is fast.

I will never slice with a stationary knife again 🙂My whole family loves a good prime rib roast smoked on a Traeger. And since we enjoy it fairly often, I knew I needed to find an incredible fast and simple way to dish it out…Compact case neatly stores everything *It is very compact and can keep everything needed together. As long as the cord is wrapped compactly as well, it all fits in perfectly.Easily carves meats and slices breads *It has made slicing our meat and anything else a whole lot easier! I have had no problem whatsoever with its ability to slice nice, smooth pieces, so I am guessing those who have commented on it crushing the meat have had a defective one.Stainless steel blades and carving fork *I love that it comes with a carving fork as I did not have one myself. The blades are nice and strong and clean up well with a quick and simple hand-wash, which I would recommend. It has a blade-release button and the blades come out effortlessly and detach from each other just as easily.I have used it on bread also and it works just as well.My only minor con would be the weight. It’s not too heavy, but when I’m slicing a large cut of meat, my hand can get a little tired holding it and I’ll take a couple short breaks to stretch my fingers and wrist.Overall, I would recommend this to avid meat eaters as well as anyone who has the need to slice more than a few slices of anything!

This is a good electric carving knife! Our retro (olive green) Sunbeam electric knife, which belonged to my grandparents, finally became so dull that it was hacking the meat instead of slicing it. I could not locate the proper replacement blades and do not actually know if they exist. I doubt it since there is no common thread on the internet about replacement blades. I began my search for a replacement on Amazon of course. Getting right to the meat of the review, my initial thought is The Knife Is Good! After all, electric knife technology has not changed in 30 years. Companies know how to make a reliable product by now. The handle feels well made of good quality plastic. It does not feel cheap or flimsy. My previous knife had a handle with an on/off button. This new knife is gripped in your hand and controlled with a similar power button. The big question is…is the knife body too large for small hands? I asked my wife, who is petite, if the knife was “too fat” to hold comfortably. She tried the knife and said it was not too bulky. It was not even something she would have thought about unless I asked. The motor is not loud and the blades cut smoothly. I was able to cut thin slices of turkey, even though the bird was a little dry…which can make thin slicing a bit more difficult. In summary the quality appears to be quite good. The knife cuts nicely. The cord is flexible and long enough. Clean-up is simple. The plastic storage case is a little small. I had to really take my time and fold in the power cord to get the lid to close. I would not hesitate to recommend this electric carving knife. Oh, there is a fork included in the box. I thought it may be a cheap add-on item but it turned out to be a nice fork to hold a roast or bird while you slice the meat.

Works great, has lasted months of regular use, not great for small handsEvery week, I bake 12 chicken breasts all at once and then cut them up into cubes. I ordered this electric knife in order to accomplish this Godawful task, which I hate, but is necessary to keep me from having an excuse to eat out when I’m short on time. If the cut up chicken is in the fridge – I can always toss in it with some salad ingredients or pasta or rice – presto I’ve got a meal. No matter which way you slice it – it’s still better for me than eating out. (Pun intended)I say all that to say that I use this knife every single week. It has held up well – it’s been months since I originally purchased it and even with regular use – it still works as well as the day I got it.It’s easy to clean. The fork thing that comes with it is perfect. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that if you have a relatively small hand and you’re going to be using this a lot – it’s design is difficult. The place where you grip is too big around and the way you pull the trigger isn’t exactly ergonomic. My husband has no trouble with it at all…. but his hands are larger.

GarbageWorst electric knife I have ever used. Dull blades have a hard time starting a cut.The trigger is a pull-back and it completely defeats the purpose of an electric knife. You have to pull it back hard to activate the knife. Used it twice and halfway through carving a turkey I gave up and used my regular kitchen knife. The second you get grease on your finger it’s almost impossible to use.Garbage.

Sorry for Such a Cutting ReviewAfter having the same electric knife for over 30 years (it lasted so much longer than my marriage), it was time to get a new one. I really wanted to like this but I found the handle to be much too large and uncomfortable to get a good grip on, and my hands are an average size. The deciding factor on returning it however, was the fact that the handle heated up to the point of hurting after only about 10 minutes of continuous cutting. It was the same issue on two different occasions so back in the box it went.

Hamilton Beach Electric Knife with Fork and Case. #74275RCSuper good. Would recommend it to everyone. I take this wording back!!Bought knife Sept. 23/21. Used it 3 times. The 4th time, Oct. 24th/21, while slicing a roast, the electric knife stopped dead and quit working. Tried again and again but it has given up the ghost. I would not buy this product again, ever. Now I can’t even return it. The scheduled return date expired Oct.23/21. Quite handy that!!!
