Sticky non-stickFor the non stock surface I can’t fry eggs without them sticking. I don’t get it. Apparently same surface as on past griddles but not as non-stick as past ones.?!

Very Satisfied – Excellent electric griddleI really like this griddle. The surface gets hotter than my previous griddle, so I just need to adjust how I cook and use a slightly lower temp. Have made numerous batches of pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. I am very satisfied. The surface cleans up very well; much better than any of my prior electric griddles.

Cooks great but plug kept falling out…Loved it once I figured out at what temp to cook things. I burned crap out of first batch . Had to turn temp down from where I cooked it on my old griddle. I tried recorded vid to show you the difference with the plug that came with this unit vs. the plug from my old unit but there is no upload button for vid or pics.The old plug went in deeper into the unit whereas the one on this Hamilton Beach 38518R Durathon Ceramic Griddle, 200 sq. in, Black barely slides into the unit. If you bump it the plug falls out. So I am returning this unit and getting the smaller Bella unit my adult kids have & see how it works. So far it is better. Bella Cord fits nice and snug.

Griddle performed as expectedNice griddle. Cooked 4lbs of sausage and 6lbs of bacon on a Youth Group trip to the Great Smokey Mountains for Challenge Youth Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN this weekend. Did it all in an hour and the kids wiped it out. Griddle heats evenly, top to bottom, but side with controls is definitely like most griddles and cooks hotter. Easy clean up and very light weight. 1st use so no idea of longevity or non stick coating wear, but seems to be a good mid size griddle.

Great for home use, not for work.I bought two of these, one for my home and one for work. Both came in the same condition: new, clean, good box. The one I got for work, just blew up where the plug attaches to the griddle! In defense of the product itself, I had modified the plastic housing, and the machine runs at high temp for more than 12 hours at a time. Definitely not standard operating. The last griddle I got for work lasted two years, and was still working when I replaced it with this one for what I thought would be an upgrade. It lasted only about a month, unfortunately. The one I got for home though is still working great. It’s easy to clean, has a great cooking surface and I like that it has a whole edge to push off excess oil or food bits, instead of just a little hole like most electric griddles. I can definitely recommend this guy for home use.

Died after 2 yearsThe drawer to empty the grease is a pain and gets stuck. The unit died after two years. There’s power to it, but it won’t heat.

Non-stick surface failedThe griddle surface won’t clean, particularly in one spot, and particularly when making blueberry pancakes. So it doesn’t matter that the griddle cooks well and is a great size. The only real reason for the purchase was to replace a fifteen-year-old griddle that had blueberries stick to it.There is section of the grill, about a third of the griddle surface, that has stains that never go away. Shgould have kept the old griddle. At least we didn’t see the staining because it was the more traditional dark surface.
