takes too long to heat upTakes too long to heat up. tried toasting 2 pieces of bread with cheese on top (to make cheese toast), it wasn’t near done in 7 minutes. Took about 10. Also, it is Very large and looks pretty industrial on countertop. Be sure to measure! It is kind of distracting if you have pretty counter tops! I am going with the HB 6 slice toaster, it is perfect and not too small.

Overall very pleased with this oven.I got this to replace a small cheap toaster oven that didn’t do a very good job cooking things. It is much bigger than the typical cheap toaster ovens and you should note the dimensions and make sure you have room for it. I knew I had enough space but I was still surprised by how much bigger it is. It is really a different class of appliance than the typical toaster ovens. It preheats quickly and lets you know when it is at temperature. I was impressed with how evenly it bakes and broils, like a real oven. The convection fan is quiet and cooks things quicker as it should. The digital display alternates between the set temperature and the measured temperature, which I find very useful. I also appreciate the timer function and alarm which has saved me from over cooking or burning things many times already. The upper half of the outside of the oven does get pretty hot when cooking for any length of time. I mitigated that by keeping a couple of large silicone trivets on top of it, which allows me to keep things on top of the oven without them getting too hot.The controls are not as intuitive as they should be, but they are perfectly usable once you get used to them. There is a learning curve to getting full use out of it and guests will probably ask “how do you use this thing?”.The inside is large and accessible for cleaning, and the crumb tray is removed from the outside front and is easy to clean, but can’t be wrapped in aluminum foil and is galvanized steel instead of stainless steel. The construction is sturdy and I expect it will last a long time. The new oven arrives with an industrial oil smell that can be eliminated by washing the oven before the first use and then after a few uses is completely gone.

Highly recommend.Bought it for my camper but was too big so brought it in house. I truly love this machine. I use it for everything. Baking, toasting, air fry, and more. I wish it had a smaller version for my camper. I truly enjoy it. Highly recommend! Update: This is fantastic!! Baked porkchops, rolls, air fried onion rings & potatoe wedges; broiled hamburgers. All came out better than my gas oven and didn’t heat up my house!! Keep forgetting to try the thermometer because I have one I like to use already but will make a point of it to update. By the way love the drop tray that you pull out to clean! So much easier!!

controls were designed by a war criminalAs an oven, it’s good. Great even. But the controls are so poorly designed and irrititating that they make the oven practically unusable.First, to get the minor stuff out of the way, there should be a dial to set temperature. If I was cooking at 200 yesterday, and I want to cook at 450 today, I don’t want to have to stand there pushing the “+” button over and over. But whatever, I could live with that. Here’s where it gets really dumb:Let’s say you want to bake something at 400. You turn the dial to “Bake”, and you are presented with two values: temperature, and time. The temperature defaults to what you did last time, which makes sense (though hopefully it’s not too far from where you want to be now, otherwise, get to clicking that button). The time defaults to: 1 minute.Yes, 1 MINUTE is the default cooking time. Because the most typical time people bake things for is 1 minute. So, now you have to hit another button to indicate that you are changing the time, and then you click the button to indicate a number of minutes, or just that you want the oven to stay on until you turn it off (which is what the default should obviously be in the first place). But wait, there is more. After doing all this, you have to hit the “start” button. So, turning the knob to “Bake,” AND setting a time, AND setting a temperature, aren’t sufficient to convince this thing that you actually want the oven on. You have to also hit a “Start/Stop” button after all this, and if you don’t, it quietly turns itself off a short while later. The result is that I routinely think I have started baking (or toasting or whatever) something, only to return to the room 15 minutes later to see that the oven never actually turned on to begin with.Amazingly, it gets even dumber. Let’s say that you have put in all the effort required to start cooking something. Now say you want to change the temperature. You hit the Temp button, hit + or – until you get there. Now, given the debacle described in the last paragraph, after making a change you obviously need to hit that Start/Stop button, right? No — THE OVEN TURNS OFF IF YOU DO. I get that it’s already on, so you shouldn’t have to hit Start – but you shouldn’t have had to hit it in the first place either, having already done 3 things to indicate that you wanted the oven on. And yet, you had to hit it. So now, after changing the temp, you err on the side of caution and hit the Start button. And the oven turns off. Amazing.I’ve genuinely never in my life encountered a product with a worse interface. I’ve come to truly despite this oven. In fact, it is so bad that — despite being a very good OVEN as far as the actual baking and toasting goes — I got rid of it and just bought one made by a different company. I’d rather lose the money than have to keep using this infuriating thing.

Extremely nice features and qualityHaven’t yet had an opportunity to try all of the features, such as air frying, but toasting, baking, and warming are very nice, efficient, and easy to use. The biggest thing to get used to is not having a light inside so sometimes it’s difficult to know if the unit is on or not until the glow of the heating elements are visible. But it’s not a big issue, and possibly the reason why there isn’t a light as with Oster is because that would reduce the interior capacity a bit.

Good but not greatA solid but unexciting oven that we bought to replace a Chefman oven that died after several months. It does what it’s supposed to, although the air frying mode doesn’t seem particularly powerful, and the interface to set time and temperature is a little clunky….

It bakes really well.I love this oven. It has loads of features (bakes, toasts, convection oven, etc.). It is a little slow in toast mode, but you just have to remember to start the toast sooner so it will be done with whatever else you are making. The oven bakes beautifully. To make a pan of finger food, it heats to the temp you want really quickly (in 2 or 3 minutes depending on temp desired), then you set the timer and go. Now you won’t have to heat up your kitchen with your big oven. I have made pizza, finger food, and those large soft pretzels. Yum! The oven is really easy to clean and comes with a baking sheet with an elevated rack if you want it. The only reservation I have is the strength of the spring on the door. It seems really loose and I hope it continues to keep the door closed.

An Excellent Oven!I’ve had this a few weeks and already used it a ton. I spent weeks researching toaster ovens and this was the only one that had zero negative reviews. I’ve also had a Hamilton Beach food processor that has been a work horse, so I really trust this brand. I’ve been truly thrilled with this so far, it’s big, which is what I wanted. I can fit in my 12 cup muffin tin and my 10 inch springform pan as well. It will also hold a medium size frozen pizza. I bought a 9 X 13 Calphalon baking pan, which fits perfectly, for making casseroles. The 9 X 13 Pyrex dishes with handles will not fit. It does put out a fair amount of heat, but not as much as a regular oven, and it cools down much more quickly, so it’s perfect for summer. You will need to check baking times as some items cook more quickly in this oven. It did take longer than the package instructions for chicken nuggets, but that’s because they have a short baking time, so the oven doesn’t heat up enough and the nuggets I use are pretty thick. So far, I’ve made gluten free bread, muffins, chicken nuggets, gluten free frozen pizza, a chicken bake casserole, lasagna and more. Oh, and the toaster function is terrific, if you set it at 4, it makes perfect toast every time, even toasted corn bread! I also enjoy the keep warm function, it keeps food warm if you have another part of dinner cooking in the regular stove. The only function I haven’t been crazy about is the reheat, which is slow. It’s better to just put leftovers on bake for about 10 minutes at whatever temp was originally used. I am really, really enjoying this toaster oven!

Just one negativeSo far, great for baked potatos, pizza, toast, waffles, reheating leftovers, and bagels (I didn’t know I needed a bagel mode, but wow they are perfectly done on a 3 setting!) Going to try probe cooking for the first time on our Thanksgiving turkey breast. Just one thing that bugs my wife: occasionally (like once or twice) during an extended heating or cooling cycle, you might hear a pronounced “boom”. Clearly just some metal panel expanding or contracting, but the wife finds it objectionable (basically because it startles her). Well, if the proof is in the pudding, then I don’t mind an occasional sound effect.

Love this – use it every dayI have an old home and when I use the oven in summer it gets unbearable hot in the kitchen. I did a ton of research, including Consumer Reports, and this one was one of the few toaster ovens that had good toasting time ratings, got great scores for baking and broiling and fit a 9×13 pan (without handles). I LOVE it. I rarely use my regular oven anymore because this heats up so much more quickly. We’re a family of 3 so I’m able to use this for most meals – baking fish, even full casseroles. I’ve used every feature except the temp probe. I was going to replace my entire oven to get a double oven and this was a much better investment. I keep this on a pantry shelf and was initially worried about how hot it would make the pantry (it’s not walk in) but it hasn’t been a problem at all. It gets hot but not enough for me to even worry about the wine I also store in the pantry closet.
