I just received this a couple days ago. I also ordered the Dash Deluxe Sous Vide Style Silicone Egg Cups to use in the family size cooker. I love this thing. I have a different brand of a similar cooker. I like it, too, but it’s quite a bit heavier than this Dash product. This works well for cooking something other than egg bites. This morning, I cooked a sausage patty and a hamburger bun. Then, I made a sandwich with the bun, sausage patty and an egg bite I made yesterday with the big silicone egg cup. I actually made four of the eggs with 1 jumbo egg and egg whites to almost fill the egg cup. Four of the egg cups fit in the family size cooker. The sandwich was lovely. I bought this for our camper, because of the weight, but it does so many different things, I won’t need many other appliances.

Found this to be easier to use than the instant pot egg bites. It’s a pretty simple machine that produces 9 tiny egg bites (I can’t imagine having the one that only makes 4 tiny egg bites!). The egg bites in the instant pot are much larger.
Some of the first batch of egg bites had a toasty crust on them which makes me wonder if the machine is heating evenly? Otherwise they were all delicious.
My only complaint and the reason I didn’t give this appliance a five star rating is that the blue light on the top is supposed to signal when it’s time to add the eggs but the light never exactly went off so I was unsure if it was time to add the eggs.
Takes time to heat the appliance. The recipes has you put together the egg bites and then heat up the maker but there’s plenty of time to put the egg bite batter together while the machine heats up.

I’m losing weight and I’ve found that these egg bites are delicious, satisfying, low calorie and they keep me full for quite a long time. They are the perfect breakfast and/or healthy protein rich snack. When I’m on the go I just throw a couple in a bag and take ‘em with me.
I read on here to double the cottage cheese to make the Starbucks dupes. So… 4 tablespoons cottage cheese and 4 eggs, 1/4 cup of cheese, 2 silicone cups of water in the bottom of the tray. I recommend blending the eggs and cottage cheese first (you can blend the cheese or not, your choice, I do) I sprinkle some bacon bits &/or green chili’s on the bottom of the silicone cups and pour the egg mixture over it, let it do it’s thing for 12 minutes. Makes enough for exactly 9 silicone cups at 75 calories per egg bite.
You could use egg whites only blended with low fat cottage cheese if you were wanting to cut more calories. I love this thing! I’m going to make some cheesecake bites tonight. I may even try some anabolic/low carb cheesecake bites as well…the possibilities are endless. I found this much easier than making the dupes in my instant pot. I’m so happy I purchased this. 👍👍👍👍

I used to buy egg bites at Costco, and you only get eight egg bites for $10. Now I can make my own and they taste even better than the store-bought.
The instructions say to cook the egg bites for 8 to 10 minutes. I found that to be quite accurate as long as you wait for the water to start boiling.
The instructions say that you do not need to use nonstick spray for the cups, but said that you could use it. I didn’t use any spray, and they pop right out. If they don’t pop out then they might not be done yet. Or if you let them sit in the pan for a while, then they might be a little bit difficult to get out, so it’s better to take them out right away. But to be careful because those little cups are very hot! I just turn them upside down on a big plate and they pop out. Then I turn them over and put cheese so it can melt.
The instructions say to only fill the cup 3/4 of the way up to allow room for expansion. I did this on my first batch, and they did not rise to the top of the cup like expected. So the next batch I filled them almost all the way to the top. They came out just fine, but the cheese that I put on top did kind of make contact with the upper plate and got cooked pretty well. I like that though.
Keep in mind the more ingredients you put into the cup, the less egg you will fit. I found it best to put my ingredients in first and then pour the egg on top. The egg flows down and fills in all the gaps in between the ingredients.
The instructions say to use two of the little cups to put water on the bottom, and then you place the cups on top of the water. You can see in the video how the steam rises up to help cook the eggs.
The little cups are easy to clean by hand.
I tend to drip little strings of cheese into the water and sometimes egg if it drops off of my cup as I pour. But that is still easy to clean up with paper towels when I’m done cooking.
I put one in the freezer and ate it the next morning, and it was really good.
So today I made another big bunch of them and froze half of them.
I would love to get an extra set of cups so I can stage them to be ready when I pull one batch out.
Just make sure you add water before you add the next load because the water does tend to evaporate.
I can’t say enough how much I love this machine and how easy it is to use and how good the egg bites turn out. I thought they would be all spongy and gross, but they are absolutely wonderful!
Do be careful when using this machine. It does get hot. Steam can burn you. The cups are hot when you remove them from the machine.
I am really impressed with this machine.

This is a fun appliance in our kitchen. My kids put this to good use making their own batches of pancakes on the griddle. They make brownies in the cups, muffins, and cheddar biscuits. We used Red Lobster’s gluten free cheddar biscuit mix and it was even a hit with a family member who loves their gluten! I bought this to save on time and not heat up the house when making egg bites, and it has paid off with how much it has been used! All of the cook times have seemed to run about 10-12 minutes, except for the pancakes of course. I always give it a good wipe down with a damp sponge or paper towel when we’re finished cooking and it’s easy cleanup. Just watch out for the handle as it heats up through cooking so it’s best to use an oven mitt or tongs when opening and closing it, especially if you’re using it for multiple batches and letting your children use it.

Love to make my own egg bites. All the ones in the stores have cheese in them.

Awesome little machine for egg bites! 4 eggs yields 9 cups. Enjoy!
