So far so greatGot hot for long hours, and also cold for two or more days.

LidIt still has a plastic lid So I have to bring something else along to pour hot beverages into. Also doesn’t pour soup that isn’t strictly liquid very well. It splashes all over the place.
The Seamstress of Misadventure –
Love This ThingIt definitely keeps soups hot. The first night I had it I tested it out with boiling water. 22 hours later the temp was 130°. I find that soups stay the hottest and will retain heat well. I put some pasta in it once and it was still warm enough to be edible after 6 hours but it wasn’t as warm as the soup would be.I did chip the powder coat on it so that kinda sucks. All in all it’s a great thermos though. The wide mouth makes it easy to pour but I bought a long stemmed portable spoon and usually just eat the contents straight out of the thermos so I don’t have to do much cleanup

Super insulated, extremely sturdy construction, relatively easy to cleanThis may be overkill for many people. But, if you plan on using some kind of insulated container on the daily, like for your lunch, and you want the best, then this thing is amazing. The steel is mighty thick, and I’m confident it will last for many years. The construction of this makes a steel Yeti tumbler seem flimsy. The insulation is hardcore and obviously better than any double walled vacuum insulated cup I’ve had before (including Yetis). The wide mouth is wide enough to get my dish cleaning sponge through the opening and wipe down the full inside. However, the opening does taper in a bit after the threads, which I couldn’t see clearly in the product pictures on Amazon. Cleaning is fairly easy.Update after using a while: I removed 1 star to bring it down to 4 stars due to the hole in the underside of the lid. There is about a 1/4 in diameter hole extruded up into the underside of the lid. I’m not sure of the purpose, but I’m sure it has one. However, the food stored in the food jar goes into that hole and is hard to clean out. If you get something in there that is a little sticky, you will have to clean it out with a toothpick. That’s a pain. Otherwise, this this still performs amazingly well, especially with regard to insulation.Update 2: reducing from 4 to 2 stars. Cleaning the hole in the cap really became a pain. It’s a place that touches the food that leaves room for food to get stuck and nasty stuff to grow. I began having to clean it with Q tips. Then today when I pushed a Q tip into the hole, it popped a little white plastic piece inside the hole out, which opens the hole in the cap up to the area around the threads, essentially making the whole food jar useless. It did insulate well, but this fatal flaw in the cap ruins this product.
