Thermos delivers when it matters. Thermos brand products offer superior insulation that keeps food at its maximum temperature retention for hours, and the 10 Ounce FUNtainer food jar is no exception. Thermos Vacuum insulation technology virtually eliminates temperature change within the beverage container by creating an airless space between two stainless steel walls. The result is an insulation layer that performs better than any other. A superior insulated container you can depend on to keep your child’s food hot or cold for longer. This food jar keeps food cold up to 7 hours and hot for 5 hours. Constructed with double wall stainless steel, this 10 ounce food jar is built to withstand the demands of everyday use with its durable stainless steel interior and exterior and features a wide mouth that is easy to fill, serve from and clean. In order to maximize the incredible insulation technology, it is recommended to pre-chill or pre-heat the jar just prior to use.

Beware! Not as picturedI ordered this for my daughter who is starting kindergarten for her lunch box. She is autistic and picked it out herself based on the pics. When it came she got very agitated that it looked different. There was no mention in the info that there might be different patterns. Apparently this is a problem across all distributors because I bought another one with the same pics elsewhere and it still looks the same as the one from Amazon. So it’s not Amazon’s fault. I think it is an issue with the manufacturer supplying incorrect or outdated photos that don’t match their product. Pretty frustrating for me and I know this might matter to others, too, so I’ve posted pics of what it actually looks like. The one good thing about this pattern is that there is a matching drinking thermos.I have not had a chance to use it yet, though so I can’t speak to the quality of the thermos. It does seem sturdy and the lids on both that I bought fit well so I don’t expect leak problems. They washed well and had no chemical smells. I can put the lid on tight enough to be secure but it’s still easy enough for my 5 year old with gross and fine motor delays to open it independently. The are the perfect size to fit a serving of Mac and cheese, chicken and rice, steamed broccoli, etc. so I can send the foods I know my daughter will eat to school and also have fresh home cooked foods in her lunch. For now I’ll give 4 stars based on these qualities and the pattern issue. I will update when I’ve used them.

Keeper! My grandson (5 yrs old) won’t eat sandwiches and hates the school lunches. My daughter didn’t know what to do. I told her I remember when I was in school the other kids would bring hot lunches in their thermos. So I looked on Amazon and sure enough I found one.He loves taking Speghettios. It’s easy and fast to get ready in the morning. His father did it one morning and liked the ease of it.

Good product(copied from my review of the same product without Elsa’s face on it)Holds more than you think, works well to keep things warm or cool, and just does a really good job with kids lunches. If they (or you) are getting sick of sandwiches – put beans and weenies, mac and cheese, a can of soup, spaghetti, last nights leftovers, or whatever in the microwave, then slide them warm into the thermos and give your kids a spoon / fork / whatever in their lunch box with it. Really like them, got extras because I thought we’d only use them once in a while and it turned out we needed them more often. The stainless steel interior cleans pretty well and it’s not hard to get down in there with a sponge or brush, but while I understand why they designed it as they did – it would be nicer with a straight wall all the way up instead of coming in for the lid (giving it a little bit of a lip that’s harder to clean under – though even that area isn’t hard to get at and at least they kept it curved / easy to wipe!)Basically – good size, good design, works well. We’ve had no leaks or issues with that either and my kids are not gentle on things.

Solid productI bough this for my 2 1/2 year old for school lunch and it’s been a good purchase. The lid stores a spoon and it works great. Happy with purchase. Need a second one since we use this everyday.
