An ideal choice for people on the go, the Stainless King Vacuum Insulated Food Jar is built to last and loaded with features to make for a more enjoyable eating experience. Thermos vacuum insulation technology virtually eliminates temperature change within the food container by creating an airless space between two stainless steel walls. The result is an insulation layer that performs better than any other. A superior insulated container you can depend on to keep your food hotter, colder, fresher, longer. This food jar keeps items hot for 9 hours or cold for 12, making it a great choice for long days where mealtimes might be a little irregular. Constructed with double wall stainless steel, this 24 ounce food jar is virtually unbreakable, yet its sleek design is both eye-catching and functional. The contoured body shape is easy to grip and the wide mouth opening is easy to fill, eat from and clean. The lid serves a dual purpose by also functioning as a serving bowl. The Stainless King Food Jar features premium, double wall vacuum insulation so the stainless steel body stays cool to the touch with hot items and condensation-free with cold items. Only the best materials are used to construct this food jar and are 100% BPA free. In order to maximize the incredible insulation technology, it is recommended to either pre-chill or pre-heat the food jar just prior to use. This can be accomplished by filling the food jar with cold or hot tap water, attaching the lid and letting it rest for a few minutes. Before you are ready to use, simply empty the water and fill with your favorite food item. Attaching the lid will further increase the thermal efficiency.

Incredible!!!!!I have been very happy with this one. I have a lot of mobility issues and getting up for food later at night is impossible for me. This food jar lasts even longer than advertised. My hot food was still pipinh hot at 14 hours. It hadn’t cooled off at all. GREAT product

Thermos keeps food hot or cold until it’s time to eat.I have a smaller version of this Thermos and needed a little bit bigger. I am so glad that I bought this Thermos. I can pack my breakfast in the smaller one and the larger for my lunch/dinner. Since before the pandemic began I was packing my lunches. I’m slightly a germaphobe so using the office fridge or microwave grosses me out. It’s rarely cleaned maybe once a month or every other month and no one throws out their spoiled food. If stuff splatters in the microwave they don’t clean up behind themselves. So I use my Thermos’ to pack hot and cold foods for me to enjoy without having to heat or refrigerate until it’s time to eat. At night if I do overnight oats I put the thermos in the fridge to keep the food cold until I leave for work. If I pack soups, stews, or other hot foods I heat them in the morning pack it into the thermos and everything is ready to eat when I am. I have used them when travelling too. My food stayed fresh well over 18 hours while driving cross country.

changed my lifeThis thing changed my life. No more junk food!Heat insulation is awesome. Now, It’s not perfect. So you have to take some precautions to extend its capability. Before you put food in, heat the thermos first. You should do this by filling it with boiling water up to top and wait a couple minutes while the top lid is closed. Then you should heat your food as hot as possible before putting it in. And make sure the lid is tightly closed. If you follow these rules, in case of liquid food you can eat it “hot” even after 8 hours. I’m not kidding. It’s hot. Soups can be consumed warm even after 12-16 hours. The story isn’t this good in case of solid food. 6 hours later its hot. But after that it will start to get colder, thats simply because solids doesn’t have the heat capacity of liquids. But if you are not picky you can eat it still warm after 8 hours, at 10-12 hours it will be barely warm but still edible. The jar, has a very good size to it. If necessary, you can hold it with two hands and drink your soup. Outer cap isn’t big enough to be useful though. One problem you will experience occasionally is that, the lid gets too tight. Very tight. But it has a “great” grip. If you have the power and patience you will open it. Don’t worry. But a kid won’t be able to open it. So it’s not appropriate for giving to your kid for this simple reason.Another problem is the seal. If you forget to put it on, heat preservation time will be less than 75% and maybe half. If you loose it, you won’t find a replacement and your thermos will almost loose its function. So be careful with it. Also when cleaning, the seal gets the smell of the soap. This will cause a soap smell when you open the thermos afterwards, but I never had soap smell from the food itself. The solution is to clean the seal in the evening and let it wait in water for the night. This will get the potential smells of the ring.

What a great little food jar.I love this thing, never had a food jar before, I knew they existed but never had a need for one until a co-worker burned up the microwave cooking pizza (?, dont ask). Bought this thinking I could put soups in it and or chilli and eat at work rather than having to go out to eat. I work nights and since there is only one place open 24 hours in Pittsburgh, eating at Eat n Park gets old fast.Sooo glad I bought this food Jar. The whole design reflects a well thought out design, that or a lot of trial and error with this jar being the final design. What I mean is the opening of the jar lends itself easy to filling and taking food out again, you could even eat right out of the jar and the cap acts like a bowl. The wide opening also lends itself well to cleaning the device out and it is dishwasher safe.Another thing I like about this jar is the inner lid, it is extremely easy to twist on and off, you can even do it with gloves on. The lid on this jar is made of plastic and does not come with an incorporated spoon as some others do that I have seen.If your going to store hot foods in the jar it is recommended you pre heat the jar with boiling water to bring the temp of the jar up, this is important if you dont plan on eating with it for 8+ hours as pre heating will keep hot foods hot for a very long time. For me however its more like half that time and I dont see an appreciable difference. I would suggest trial and error.Built like a Thermos the inner lining is made of metal so you can bang it around, drop it and not have to worry about a glass liner. Built like a tank.I also like the look of the jar, the finish is more like a shiny flat black. Best advice I can give is just buy the thing, you will be very happy with it.

Definitely hot after six hoursI am motivated to write a review because I am waiting for the food in the thermos to cool down. Six hours ago I baked a potato, chopped it up and mixed in some leftover sautéed mushrooms and sausage for lunch. I couldn’t eat it because it is way too hot. I put an ice cube in there to make it cool down a little. Normally, my go to lunch is a package of Ramen noodles. Since Covid, I prefer to prepare my lunch at home rather than the employee microwave. One package fills up about 2/3’s of the 24 ounce thermos. When I eat lunch, the noodles absorb most of the liquid till about 3/4 capacity. The large size is just about perfect. The only downside is that it is difficult to clean. My hand does not fit in side and I have to use another utensil to swish around the dishrag. Other than that, I think this is a great buy. I hope my food is cool enough now to eat.

Stays hot or cold a long timeI first order this in a different color. After testing it out I decided to buy more and get this color so that we knew whose was whose. They are easy to clean with the wide mouth.I make oatmeal in them by filling it half way with rolled oats, sprinkle in some cinnamon, a little maple syrup, and some dried apples, then filling to the top with boiling water. Close tightly both tops. In a few minutes it’s perfectly cooked fluffy oatmeal. The oatmeal gets made and stays in my bag for 6 hours before it gets eaten, it’s still steaming hot!!! On a road trip I made it in the morning and opened it 12 hours later, still steaming hot! I once made a few thermoses and one didn’t get eaten, I was so tired when I got home that I put it in the fridge still sealed closed with the hot oatmeal inside. In the morning I opened it (24 hours later and stored in fridge) and it was still very warm!I also store cold water in one, and have stored soup. It works just as long and well for hot and cold. I have since purchased a few bigger ones for cold water and no longer need to carry coolers with ice packs. I live in a hot climate and even after leaving it in a hot car for 6 hours+ the cold water stayed cold.

Perfect product. Leak-proof. Piping hot lunch. The media could not be loaded.
This product is leak-proof thanks to the gasket on the lid. I’m able to have hot lunch as a result of this purchase and it has saved me a lot of money on a daily basis. I really don’t understand why people’s thermoses are exploding but I’ve used mines several times and there’s not even a remote possibility of popping or explosions. If you’re used to taking a thermos in grade school then you know that there will be some pressure build-up it’s almost like a soda pop but not really to that degree. I’m beginning to believe that these people are just full of BS. Get your thermos, and get it now.

Worth every penny!I bought this thermos because I lost my job due to Covid and had to return to serving tables (I’m in AZ where restaurants never shut down, thank God.) I work long, late hours so I usually make some hot soup to take to work and eat it whenever I have a break. I was very busy one night and I opened my thermos almost 9 hours after I had put my soup in, and to my surprise, I was hit in the face with a wall of steam. I couldn’t believe how hot it still was even 9 hours later. Such a good buy! Love this thing. Super light weight also, fits perfectly in my backpack. Highly recommend.

It’s perfect for what I neededMy husband and I coach high school cross country and track & field. 2 evenings a week and Saturdays are spent out at the meets coaching. I wanted something that would keep our home cooked meals warm to ensure we eat a good healthy meal while at the meets instead of stuffing our faces with unhealthy and, let’s face it, over priced food. We’ve been sharing one Thermos and so far, there has been more than enough room for 2 serving of whatever we are having. The only downside (so far) is the opening can be too narrow for certain foods; it’s great for soups and meals that are meant to be mixed or mashed together as there isn’t much room to keep food separate inside the jar.To “prep” the food jar, I boil some water and throw it in the Thermos to heat up the food jar while I cook our meal. When I’m done cooking, I empty the food jar, dry it and stuff it with our meal for the meet. Once it’s time to eat, the food is still hot, not warm, hot! On average, the food is stored in the food jar for about 4-5 hours before we eat. There have been no issues with it so far and I’m hoping things stay that way! I’m pretty surprised and pleased with how well it’s been working for us.
