Needed some afternoon shade/privacy for our balcony in the evenings.After tirelessly searching the internet for about 7 minutes, I concluded this was the product nearest to what I was searching for.From the packaging to the product I cannot describe the overwhelming joy in which I received in correlation to this product.The packing: sleek, durable and practical.The product: quality, as advertised, versatile.The base will clip onto any flat surface between .5 inch and 2.25 inches (best guess), and the umbrella will tilt and rotate in accordance with the base to whichever direction your little heart desires.I write this from the shade, contemplating purchasing another smaller one for golfing. We will see!

I bought this umbrella for the beach/pool/sitting outside nursing a baby while the big kids played experience. So far, it has been an excellent little umbrella. The clamp won’t attach to everything, but it is still pretty versatile and I have successfully used it in all the circumstances I purchased it for. It also allows my now 3 month old to be out of her carseat at the pool and laying on a chair, which she definitely appreciates! I love how many ways it can be adjusted and the different movable joints that allow it to be fine-tuned to shade wherever you’re sitting. Just be careful if you’re sitting in a lightweight chair and it is breezy as the wind will definitely take the chair down with this umbrella as its sail!

Bought as a set with Ostrich Lounger. Twist to tighten onto bar of any chair or lounger (recommend top 1/4). Two buttons: 1 rotates umbrella arm vertically, the other rotates horizontally. Additionally, the umbrella sticks out farther on one side and can spin itself to direct the shade where you want it. I used it to shade my face, shoulders and chest while allowing my legs to tan. Used daily for 2 weeks straight at 2 separate beaches and worked perfectly.Wraps up like a standard umbrella with velcro closure and has bag sleeve to carry in for easy transport. I did this & left it attached to the chair the whole time so it was already in position for the next outing.

I bought this for a sunny trip, specifically for my newborn baby. I wanted to be sure he was out of the sun. It’s a really great little umbrella. It is very bendy and is pretty sturdy. My only thing is I’ve only successfully been able to attach it to one chair I was using. Every other chair (normally wicker) is too thick for the clamp. I even tried to attach it to a table and that was also too thick. I’d imagined sitting on my front chairs to nurse my baby under the umbrella, but I had to drag a folding chair out to get it to attach. I’d buy it again though. I think it will come in handy on my thin chair days lol.

I occasionally work outdoors, manning a cashier table. I’ve tried to set up under a tree but that dang sun moves and takes the shade with it. Some locations we set up in may not have any trees. Tried a canopy, but unless they have sides they don’t always provide shade again it’s that moving sun taking my shade away. The shade umbrella works great the shape helps shade a larger area of my body from the heat/sun. Attaches to a folding chair, easily adjustable so I can move it when needed to meet my shade demands especially on those 100 + degree days.

Got this to shade my mom when we go for outings. She is in a wheelchair and I wanted to attach it to the handle and have it shade her head when I was pushing her along. It gripped the handle but would loosen up while we were walking and began to list to the side, requiring frequent adjustments. Also the height of the umbrella was not ideal for this application as it blocked my vision and it was difficult to see where I was going. I’m sure if you were using it for a stationary activity it would be fine, it just didn’t work for what we needed it for.

I’m thinking the seller used a photo of the larger size in the posting because it was definitely smaller than I anticipated. (I’m a visual person so measurements don’t do a lot for me.)That established, the size was actually a good one. I had purchased a “love seat” sized camping chair and wanted the sport-brella to use in combo. One advantage was that it fit in the carrying case for the chair which meant less stuff to haul. I’m not sure if the larger one would have fit.As to ease of use, after a small amount of trial and error, I was able to attach it to the chair and adjust it for best coverage. During the day as the planet shifted and the sun was in our eyes again, I moved the sport-brella with no trouble at all.This thing was definitely a hit with me and my friends at the event. (Thee friends kind of took over my camping chair, but that’s another review.)More than one person asked for the Amazon link. Pity I don’t have an affiliate option.If there are any problems in the future, I’ll update. But this will absolutely go with me on my adventures. Nice product!
Summer fun –
This umbrella works very well. I clamped it on a deck chair at the pool, it’s easy to get on and off, and the tilting feature works well. It seems sturdy, like it will last. My main complaint is that it’s too small! I got the XL and it covered my head and torso, but not my legs. I wish they made a bigger model. It also lacks the wind flaps that many beach umbrellas have. It wasn’t too windy, so it was fine, but it might not do as well in high wind.
