Wellness is a complex subject that involves many categories, all of which could use a little tune-up: eating, sleeping, moving, and daily stress. The task of “becoming healthier” can feel overwhelming, which is where Eat Well, Move Well, Live Well comes in.
There’s no need for a dozen different books to learn the nuances of each aspect of wellness: this book allows you to take immediate action, one week at a time, starting with the entry point you find most appealing and actionable.
Eat Well, Move Well, Live Well includes 52 WAYS TO FEEL BETTER IN A WEEK grouped by theme:
- Cooking
- Nutrition
- Movement and Exercise
- Home, Office, and Lifestyle
- Mind and Body
This one book has fifty-two experiments in wellness to try, such as:
- Detox your pantry
- Learn to “eat water” to stay better hydrated
- How to end a bad day well
- Get dirty in the garden
- Finding the perfect fitness path for your body
- Furniture minimalism
- Clean up your sleep!
Whether you’re already living a healthy lifestyle or are ready to turn over a new leaf, you’ll find a new ways to approach wellness, from movement, alignment, and walking; to fish, fats, and fermented foods; to sleeping, vacationing, and working; and bad days, de-stressing, and building a support network. I’m only a little way into this book – taking it slow to chew on and digest the words. But it’s already blowing my mind. I recently learned how to split an apple with my hands and showed my partner, using a russet apple. I don’t normally care for those, but this one tasted much better than I expected. I joked about it being like the saying that everything tastes better outside, only in this case, it tastes better when you split with your hands instead of a knife. Then, two days later, I read about the importance of touching your food during preparation, and how ‘Once touched, the food informs us not only of how to treat it in preparation, but also primes our digestion for the right type and amount of digestive enzymes, as the brain recognizes which specific nutrients are going to be ingested.’ (p 26) It made total sense to me why that apple tasted so much better! I’m looking forward to reading more – Roland and Galena have done a wonderful job and I highly recommend you get your hands on a copy. Especially if you eat. It’ll blow your mind too! 🙂

This book has been such a blessing with easy-to-read, practical advice on making small changes every week. I find it useful as a reference point for my family’s ailments; such as my son’s poor posture to my husband’s insomnia – each chapter provides a new way to look at a common health issue and how to improve it. Personally, I focused on movement and diet, as an over 50 year old woman who has steadily gained weight, I’ve made small changes in my lifestyle that have thankfully become habits for me. If you are searching for a book on how to feeling better, or a gift for someone who has everything-I would highly recommend this book!

I’m not usually into self-helpy type books, but this one looked different. And it is! Roland and Galina write in sucb a conversational way that I feel like I know them. It’s not preachy at all and I love that each chapter can be taken on it’s own. I rarely make notes in or flag books, but I have post-its throughout this one. Sure, some of it is common sense, but the approach Roland and Galina take is refreshing. I’ve recommended it to all my family and friends.

Truly a well written and simple book that make a HUGE difference in the way we look at eating and moving. This approach is new and difference and doesn’t suggest exercising incessantly, joining a gym or the like. It is simple movement of our ancestors that keep us in shape and moving. There is no required order for this book either. One can go directly to the chapters that speak to them, then read and understand easily. It’s a gift of knowledge that says start where you are and do the best you can for your body. I love the message and the book!! ENJOY!

Having had the luxury of interviewing Mr. and Mrs. Denzel on my podcast a couple of months before the book release I was very anxious to get my hands on the physical copy upon release. Suffice to say, there was no disappointment on my end. Roland and Galina touch on nearly every important item of internal and external health in this bombshell of a book. While some tips may be more pertinent for your life at this very moment, this is the kind of book that begs for multiple readings and perusings. Bravo! Worth the wait and a job magnificently done!

I absolutely love this book and use it daily. It is easy to follow, giving practical suggestions and well researched advice. I especially like the suggestions at the end of each chapter on “where to go next,” that guides me to where my next step or interest might be. I keep this book on my kitchen counter, easy to reach for every day. This book really does help me eat, move, and live healthier and with more energy.

The book is a great “new” starting place for someone who may need some fresh ideas and perspectives, or someone who is ready to make changes. The ideas (food, exercise, overall health etc.) and the logic behind them are perfect for anyone who wants to lead a healthy life or is making major changes.

This book is a practical guide to wellness. I found I could not manage all aspects of getting healthy at once. This book gave me sections of information that I could focus on for movement followed by eating better. I am an example of living better one step and one bite at a time. Very helpful guide to have on my wellness journey.
