One for the future
Tried playing this with my 6 year old (nearly 7), it was a bit too much for them. So, perhaps one for the future when they’re a bit older. The seal on the box was open and contents must have been removed from the box at some point but were all there, maybe an amazon issue rather than the seller. Once used there isn’t anything to keep you going back so keep that in mind. It’s a novel idea though and maybe when my daughter is older we’ll get more fun out of it.

Quick Reviews!
I’ve been trying for some time to get my kids into board games, but they’re in that awkward in between stage where the traditional games they once enjoyed are too young for them, and the older strategy or battle type games I enjoy are deemed ‘uncool’ or take too long to set up. I figured that more interactive games which involve their phones would entice them, even though the merging of apps into board games isn’t something I’ve liked much so far myself. My youngest daughter is something of a wannabee sleuth, and when she saw this she had to don her fancy dress detective outfit to play along. The set contains three separate missions which each use technology accessed via a QR code – there are other bits and bobs contained in the set to enhance the experience and provide clues and mystery, but it’s through your phone that the missions truly come to life. You are prompted through videos and chats to answer questions and solve each crime – the stories themselves are light-hearted and fun without becoming gruesome, so it’s an all ages affair that everyone can get stuck into. The main issues I’ve found are that sometimes the tech side is a little intrusive and cumbersome – as always I’d prefer an old fashioned approach – and once you’ve completed a mission there isn’t much desire to return to it. Of course, a series of DLC or additional missions would mean you could continue the fun for as long as you wanted.

Family games night
These are such great fun for all the family to get involved with! We love a games night and this was a little different. The set comes with three different mysteries that need solving! An important part of the game is that you will need your phone as there are QR codes that you scan and they help to bring the game to life.We have only played one out of three of the games so far and really enjoyed it. It wasn’t mega hard to solve but by no means easy. The only problem is that once you have played it you can’t really play it again. You could pass it on to a friend though.

Family fun as long as you don’t get stuck
👀 First impressionsInteractive funℹ️ What/When will it be used?Anytime to play with others or on your own📦 How is it Packaged – What’s it made from? The 3 missions come in their own box within a branded cardboard box✅ What do I like about this product? So after the first game – the missing potion I would have given this 5 stars. We loved it. I played it with our 7 and 11 year old. The 7 year old struggled but the 11 year old and I really enjoyed it. You get a mission and a QR code to scan. This links to an initial video and a chat function. Within the set there are also clues to solve and it kept us engaged, we thoroughly enjoyed playing it. So after enjoying the first one so much we decided to do the time travel trouble. We got stuck early on and despite messaging through the chat function we just kept getting the same response so were stuck in an algorithm that we couldn’t get any further. We got frustrated and had to abandon the game. There is a website where you can enter a password to get clues but it didn’t include this mission. Will try the 3rd and hope for an experience as good as the first.❌ What could be better? These are pretty much one time use only but good to pass on to friends once you’ve done them.A way of getting a clue if you get really stuck.🤝 Summary…A really good concept.I hope you found this review helpful

Great puzzles
This is a great way for people who enjoy puzzles to pass a bit of time. I have seen similar puzzles before but this is the first time I have seen them use technology to add an extra bit of authenticity to the mystery you are trying to solve. By using your phone/tablet via a QR code, you are taken into a world of websites, online chats and videos, making this a very interactive experience. The first mystery was a good one with the right amount of challenge. I have found myself stuck on the second puzzle however, and the clues have, as yet not helped! I shall return with a fresh mind! This is such a good idea and I hope that this set is the first of many as I would definitely be interested in purchasing more.

Quick, simple fun
You get 3 detective missions to solve here, each about 20-30 minutes long. The bulk of the game is moved along via interaction on your smart device after scanning a QR code for the mission – so bare that in mind if you were thinking of taking it on holiday. The difficulty is low so perfect for playing with kids.At around £8 per mission and zero replayability it is a little expensive.

Fun game not too difficult but puzzling enough
The media could not be loaded.
This is a fun game to play with young players. Just keep in mind that it’s a one-time play and once you solve the case you might try to play it again, but it is the same outcome and the same clues so it is not much fun to play it once more once you know the outcome.Very good quality and the clues are very well put together. It is a puzzling game and asking for help on their message dialog window will get you extra hints. Very pleased with it.

Fun, if a little short
A fun collection of interactive puzzles. You watch a video and “chat” to a character to progress the story/puzzleThey’re maybe a little short though, taking about 30 mins at a push. You do get 3 puzzles though, which makes up for it.Great idea and fun for the whole family

More for kids
Obviously I’m not going to give the games away for this….but on the first mission there is a card holder and this was poorly glued and ripped. It definitely appeared played with despite being sealed on the outer box.The games are quite short for adult gamers. None of the games took any longer than 15-20 minutes. I do think based on the themes and the eased to resolve this is more aimed at children. The game probably would have benefited from clue 1, clue 2 etc envelopes. Some of the clues gave hints as to the answer to the bit you were on.There is a videos and are or voice notes used for the “missions” but this involved either over the top acting or just poor acting with nothing in between.Ok for an activity but quite expensive for two us. I can’t imagine this would have entertained more than two players as there isn’t enough for more players to do.

Perfect for a bank holiday weekend
I ordered this to play with my 11 and 16 year old (as we do like detective games), especially on a rainy weekend/bank holiday.Comes with 3 different games, each in a paper box. You need to scan the QR code to start off with and as long as your phone is compatible then you’ll be able to play (you couldn’t play this without a smart phone). Now this won’t be for everyone, as there will be people who prefer non-technology games as we spend so much time on technology as it is. However, we’ve found this ok as it’s not all based on the phone.Once you have completed all 3 then I wouldn’t necessarily play it again (as you’ll know all the answers), but I think this will definitely come out on Boxing Day as a party game.I do think over £20 is quite dear for a game that you’ll probably only play once. I’ve recently had a murder mystery game that was cheaper than this and equally as good. However if this was on a bit of a deal then I’d definitely say order it.Overall we’ve been pleased with this as a fun detective mystery game that great to play with your children. Happy to recommend.
